How To Get A Stun Gun in Sons Of The Forest

After almost a decade of waiting, the sequel to the original The Forest game is finally out. If you’re looking to survive the dangers of Sons of the Forest, a Stun Gun can be a valuable weapon to have at your disposal. This guide will walk you through the process of obtaining it from a cave it’s hidden in.

Whether you’re a seasoned player or just starting out, this article will help you increase your chances of survival in this scary but exciting new game.

Sons Of The Forest – How To Get A Stun Gun

As was the case with many weapons in The Forest, Sons of Forest’s predecessor, unique weapons were almost always hidden deep inside caves, forcing you to fight your way through to obtain them.

In order to get started, get to the cave entrance located on your right-hand side as shown in the image below.

*The image points this way and not the cave for orientational purposes*

Once you’ve located the cave and crawled into it, start moving forward. Shortly after starting to run through, you’ll get to the first shining light – we’ll use these as milestones.

Keep walking until you get to the second light. Up until this point, just going straightforward was enough.

Once you get to the third shining light (there should be some scattered bones around it), you’ll have to make a right (as shown in the image below).

*If you go left, make sure to backtrack later as there’s no other way to the Stun Gun*

After you’ve made the right turn, you’re going to have a minute-long, uneventful walk through the dark. Uneventful is definitely good in these caves – better that than to get jumped by cannibals!

Keep going until you reach a not-so-fortunate guy sitting down by the (dead).

*Let’s try to avoid ending up like him, shall we?*

Keep walking through the cave. Some parts will be narrow, and some not as much. Regardless, your way should be pretty much cleared all the way until the Stun Gun. You’ll reach it within a minute of walking if you keep moving straight-forward, possibly a bit longer with detours.

Soon enough, you will reach a body wearing a red jumpsuit and a gas mask. The Stun Gun we’re after will be hanging from the cave’s ceiling, next to the unfortunate jumpsuit guy.

*Hopefully, he won’t mind us borrowing his Stun Gun*

Keep in mind that you’ll have to find Stun Gun Ammo in order to reload it later. Contrary to what some people thought initially, you cannot refill the ammo with regular batteries.
