For those who were around for the very first Pokemon game and manga, then you are familiar with the OG starting Pokemon: Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Charmander. These three Pokemon (aside from Pikachu) raised a generation of children, including some children in this newer generation thanks to the new Pokemon games. If you have Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, then you should definitely try getting Charmander and Charizard into your party, and you can do it by using this guide.
Pokemon Scarlet & Violet – How To Get Charmander & Charizard
To get a Charmander or Charizard, you will need to have participated in the Tera Raids
Right now, the only way to get a Charizard, or a Charmander, is by participating in the Tera Raid event. Unfortunately, the event has already concluded back in December 4th. Right now, there is no way to get a Charmander or Charizard by normal means.
Here are some of the best ways to get one as of this moment:
- Find a player who caught a Charizard in the Tera Raid event and trade for it
- Have a player who has a Charizard breed the Pokemon and either get the egg or have the player hatch it for you
Charizard is said to return in future Tera Raid events as well, so you can wait for that. The Pokemon HOME implementation is a good way to get one as well, but that doesn’t come in until Spring 2023. Either way, the window of getting a Charizard or Charmander is gone, so you have to resort to looking for other players with a Charizard now.
