Although skins won’t make you a better player or influence your game as they are purely cosmetic items, they can surely add aesthetic value and make any weapon look more striking (pun intended).
There are a few ways you can acquire skins in Counter Strike: Global Offensive, such as opening the containers, getting them from random drops, or trading with other players.
Still, the most uncomplicated way is through the community market, where you can buy them for real money. Their prices can range from $0.003 to over $1500, so there’s something for everyone’s budget.
So get your credit card ready and keep reading because we’ll show you how to buy CSGO skins in Steam’s community market.
Steam Community Market | How To Buy Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Skins
Open your Steam client (or login to Steam’s website), click on the “Community,” then select the “Market.”
You’ll notice a list of games on the right side, so choose the CSGO to filter everything else out of the market.
You’ll then see various CSGO items, such as containers, capsules, and such, but click on the “Show advanced options” on the right since you’re interested in skins only.
There, you’ll have all sorts of filters so you can find any specific skin you’re looking for. Select your filters, and click on “Search” once you’re ready.
Then, you’ll see a list of CSGO skins, which you can sort by name, quantity, or price by clicking on the relevant sorting filter.
Click on the skin you wish to buy, and you’ll have an option to buy the skin now and pay its full price, or place the buy order and hope that someone will lower the price, so you can automatically buy it.
Once you buy the skin, it will automatically appear in your CSGO section of the Steam inventory, but you’ll need to equip it manually in the game.
Launch the CSGO and choose the Inventory on the left side, then right-click the skin you just purchased and select the “Replace For Both Teams” option.
And that’s it, next time you play the game, you’ll be able to be filled with admiration with your newest skins! Remember that skins are just there to make the game look more pleasing, so try not to overspend on them.
