The world is yours for the taking, or pillaging perhaps? It depends on your approach toward the myriad of chests and collectibles you can find across the valley. As a proper loot goblin, you know that it’s a common practice to go out of your way and see what going off the beaten path gets you.

Sadly not everyone gets a bag of holding in the wizarding world and the idea of going back to that one chest you found in the middle of the Forbidden Forest just doesn’t have a good ring to it.

So here’s another option, increasing your inventory size! It’s so simple even a house elf stuck in a glue trap can do it.

Hogwarts Legacy | How to Increase Inventory Size

Expanding your inventory slots is one of the many things you can do early on in the game.

It makes going back and forth between places to offload your goods less of a hassle and gives you more time to double down on your incessant looting.

Expanding your inventory slots is made easier when you get access to your broomstick, exploration, and looting go hand in hand after all.

The first thing you need to do is find Nora Treadwell, she can be seen south of Hogwarts castle in the South Hogwarts Region of the map.

She can be seen here struggling with some Ashwinders, give her a helping hand and she will inform you about the Merlin Trials afterward. They’ll be scattered all over the map and some of them won’t be accessible until later on.

The trials vary in difficulty, they’re either mind-numbingly easy or absolutely woeful that you need to stand up and step away from your computer monitor for a few minutes before trying again.

Now we mention the Merlin Trials because you will find your inventory expansions right in the Exploration section, you have to complete a set of milestones first to get your hands on them.

Your first exploration milestone will require you to finish two trials, the next one will require you to do six.

You’ll be doing 14 trials in total in order to increase your storage space. All together you should be able to get at least 20 additional inventory spaces from completing the trials.

And that’s about it! Remember to keep farming Mallowsweet in order to activate the trials you see around the valley. Sitting on your broomstick and casting Revelio a few dozen times will benefit you greatly!

Here we have Alexis, he's been gaming ever since the second Famicom came out. Which is probably the reason why he goes back to platformers every now and then. Somewhere down the line he started getting more and more fascinated about looking at maps change colors for three to eight hours straight. If he's not out strategizing and beating the life out of his space bar in that order there's a good chance you can find him playing an FPS or talking someone's ear out about how game balance gets in the way of realism. You can tell that he really likes getting the full experience of whatever he gets his hands on.
