As a multiplayer survival game, Dune Awakening will challenge players in many ways. You will need to use everything you have at your disposal to ensure that you can survive the harshness of Arrrakis. As a Fremen, water will be difficult to find, especially with the other warring factions on your trail. So, you’ll need to do everything you can to obtain water. This is where the Dew Reaper can be an extremely handy device as it will allow you to collect water. In this guide, we’ll show you how to make it and how you can use it to get water. With that said, let’s dive in!

How to Make & Use the Dew Reaper

Starting off, you will need to actually unlock the Dew Reaper Mk2 in Dune Awakening. To do that, go to the Research tab in the menu and navigate to Water Discipline. Here, you should be able to see the Schematic for the Dew Reaper Mk2.

To unlock it, you will need to spend intel points or complete the associated Journey quest. Doing so will complete the research and you will be able to craft.

Dew Reaper Mk2 Dune Awakening

After you unlock the Dew Reaper Mk2 schematic, it’s time to make it. For that, you will need to have a Fabricator.

Interact with the Fabricator and you’ll see the Dew Reaper Mk2 schematic with the required materials. To craft the Dew Reaper Mk2 in Dune Awakening, you need the following materials:

  • x10 Iron Ingots
  • x7 EMF Generators
  • x4 Silicone Blocks

If you’re struggling to get iron in the game, we have you covered. Check out our how to farm iron guide, so that you know where to find the nodes and convert it into the ingots you need.

Dune Awakening Crafting Dew Reaper

After you’ve crafted the Dew Reaper Mk2, there’s one more thing you’ll need. You’ll have to craft a container where you can actually store the water you collect from the tool.

So, make sure you have an empty Literjon on hand so that you can store the water here. You can also store water from a Dew Reaper into a water tank.

Try to have multiple Literjons so that the extra water does not spill after the Literjon is full.

After that, you’ll need to find primrose flowerfields from which you can extract the dew. You should be able to find patches of it near your base. Make sure you go at night or dawn, as this is when you can use the Dew Reaper.

It’s not possible to harvest water during the day. You’ll know when you can harvest water when the flowerfields start glowing faintly.

Additionally, you get more water if you harvest during the optimal dew harvest time. You can check the optimal harvest time by pressing T with the tool in hand, and checking the window on the meter.

From here, equip the Dew Reaper in your hand and use it all over the flowers. You’ll start harvesting the water which will automatically be stored in your Literjon on water tank. If these sources are full, the extra water will get spilled and you’ll lose it.

Also, keep in mind that the Dew Reaper uses power when it’s used, so you cannot use it infinitely.

Dune Awakening Harvesting Water

That’s everything you need to know about how to make and use the Dew Reaper in Dune Awakening. As you can see, it is a very handy tool especially as a Fremen since water tends to be so scarce. Be sure to do it at dawn so that you can maximize the water you get. Additionally, you should slways keep a container on hand. Otherwise, you won’t be able to store it anywhere!
