If you’re one of the Risk Of Rain 2 players looking for a challenge, you are probably playing on Monsoon difficulty. This difficulty is the only way you can obtain Deicide and The Calm challenges, as well as mastery challenges for Survivor’s alternate skins.
Obliterating on Monsoon difficulty will not only be enjoyable and feel like an accomplishment, but it will also bestow you with achievement so you can get all the bragging rights. So check out our guide, where we’ll reveal how to obliterate on Monsoon difficulty.
Risk Of Rain 2 | How To Obliterate On Monsoon
It would be best to prepare since you’ll be playing on the Monsoon difficulty, so choose suitable characters such as MUL-T or Engineer.
MUL-T has the highest potential for doing damage, while the Engineer is essentially 3-in-1 characters.
Also, make sure to use the Newt Altars as often as you can, and don’t farm the entire map before you begin the first loop.
Once you’re ready, you’ll need to enter a hidden realm environment called “A Moment, Fractured” by finding a Celestial Portal.
The Celestial Portal appears on the third stage once you complete your first loop, which means you’ll need to sidestep the Primordial Teleporter in the fifth stage.
Rather than activating the teleporter after the boss wave, head through the Blue Portal instead, which will take you to the Bazaar Between Time environment. Then, you’ll be teleported to the first environment and, in turn, complete the first loop as soon as you leave.
Once you start the second loop, the first environment becomes the sixth stage.
Try and do your best to survive just long enough so you can make it alive until the end of the eighth stage. Once you complete the teleporter event, a Celestial Portal will appear, so just step right into it, and you’ll be teleported to “A Moment, Fractured.”
From there, things become pretty arduous, and you’ll need to circumvent plenty of rocks to reach the Obelisk. The thing is, these rocks only show up when you approach them, so you’ll have to make a couple of “blind” jumps and hope for the best.
On the other hand, if you’re lucky enough to have Wax Quails or Hopoo Feathers in your inventory, you won’t have to deal with this issue.
Once you reach the Obelisk, simply press E to obliterate yourself from existence.
You’ll receive a prompt that asks you to confirm your decision, so press E again, and your Survivor will disappear into the unknown.
We know you probably expected some spectacular ending with explosions, but sadly, that wasn’t the case this time. Obliterating yourself is one of three possible endings in Risk of Rain 2, and before the game got fully released, it was the only available ending.
