Sometime,s when going through a game you miss instructions on how to do certain mechanics. Maybe you were clicking through menus too fast, or perhaps the game doesn’t have tooltips or help notifications yet.
In No Rest For The Wicked, you’ll get your own house that you can decorate and place items in. The latter part can be a bit of a problem since most players don’t know how to.
In this guide, we’ll show you how you can place items in your house in No Rest For The Wicked. It’s a simple process so it won’t take too much time and you’ll be able to place things like chests and other furniture!
How To Place Items in House
As you play No Rest For The Wicked, you’ll get a chance to enter your house. It’s going to be empty at first, but you can place items like chests and containers to liven the place up. But how can you place these items inside your house?

Here are the steps we’ll be taking to place items down in the house:
- Press and Hold the down button on the D-pad.
- Select the item using the right stick.
- Set the item to the down button.
- Press the down button again to start placing the item.
- Place the item wherever you want in the house!

Detailed Walkthrough
To place items in the house, all you need to do is press and hold the down button on your D-pad. While you’re holding it, a menu of items will be shown on the upper part of the screen. Use your Right stick to choose what item you’ll want to place.
Once you have the item you want to place down, let go of the D-pad button when you’re hovering over the item. This will set the item to the D-pad down button, you can then press the button again to go to Structure Mode.
You’ll see a green outline of what the item looks like and where it’ll be placed. The outline moves with your character, and you can rotate it using the right stick. To place it, use the place button on the upper part of the screen which is the Y-button for the example shown below.
