If you are in the market for a JRPG, then I suggest you check out Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. You can find the game on Steam and on consoles such as PS4 & PS5Xbox One & Series X | S and Nintendo Switch. One of the most unique aspects of this game is its recruiting mechanism. You are able to recruit 100+ different Heroes and then also fight with them in battles. This guide will tell you about Riufan and how you can recruit him. Keep reading to learn more!

How To Recruit Riufan

Recruiting Riufan is pretty simple and only has one requirement. And the requirement is that you must be level 32 or higher. If you are under leveled, he will simply not acknowledge you and nothing will happen after talking to him.

SIDE NOTE: We also have complete guide on recruiting all the characters or heroes in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. Make sure to check it out as well!

Once you reach level 32, go to Hishahn and then you will be able to find Riufan standing in the location marked below.

Once you get there, go to Riufan and talk to him. You will get a cutscene here in which the old man will appear drunk and say that despite his old age, he can still teach you a thing or two. After the cutscene is over, you will engage in a duel with him.

Since you are at level 32 (or maybe higher), defeating him should be a cakewalk for you. After you defeat him, you will get a dialogue option, select “Let’s join forces” and Riufan will join your party.

This marks the end of this short guide on recruiting Riufan. I hope you enjoyed it. Since you know that there are over 100 Heroes that you can recruit, I suggest you recruit Faye & B’baba next. Recruiting Faye is a bit tricky as she will move around a lot which is why I recommend you check this guide out: How To Recruit Faye & B’baba in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes.
