No one wants to go through the nightmare alone, so when your friends get torn apart by the horrors of R.E.P.O., it’s up to you to piece them back together. Luckily, reviving teammates isn’t too complicated, if you know what to do. In this guide, I’ll walk you through the two main ways to bring your squad back to life, plus a few handy survival tips to keep your team from wiping out completely!

How to Revive Your Friends

Method 1: Using the Extraction Point (1 HP Revival)

If your friend meets an unfortunate end, don’t panic—just grab their head. Yes, literally. Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Find your friend’s head—this is all that remains of them, and it’s your key to bringing them back.
  2. Take their head to the extraction point, the same place where you deposit loot.
  3. Ensure all required items are at the extraction point to complete the quota (check the red counter at the top right).
  4. Once the extraction activates, your friend will be revived—but they’ll only return with 1 HP.
  5. To regain 25 HP, they’ll need to head back to the ship after being revived.

While this method is quick and effective, it does leave your teammate extremely vulnerable. If a monster so much as breathes on them, they’re going down again. But if you need a fast revive mid-run, this is the way to go.

Method 2: End-of-Round Revival (25 HP Revival)

If you want to revive your teammate with a little more health, this method is the better option:

  1. Complete the level by making sure all players return to the ship.
  2. Hit the button to end the round.
  3. Once the round finishes, all dead players will automatically revive inside the ship with 25 HP.

This method is safer and doesn’t require you to carry around your friend’s head, but it does mean they’ll have to sit out for the rest of the round.

Bonus Survival Tips: Keeping Your Team Alive

  • If you’re carrying a friend’s head, be careful! You’ll still need to avoid monsters while making your way to the extraction point.
  • Health Transfer Trick: If you have more health than a revived player, you can give them 10 HP by interacting with the back of their head (it’ll glow yellow when you can do this).
  • Watch out at the extraction point. When it activates, don’t stand underneath it—you don’t want to get crushed while trying to help your friend.
  • Use the map! You can locate a fallen teammate’s head by opening the map (heads show up as red dots).
  • Don’t risk full team wipes! If you’re finishing the last extract and everyone is low on health, send one player back to the ship early. That way, if things go south, at least one person can extract safely.

Wrap-Up

Reviving in R.E.P.O. is simple once you know how to do it. Whether you rush to the extraction point or wait for the round to end, bringing your team back to life doesn’t cost anything—so there’s no reason to leave anyone behind! Now that you know how to keep your squad together, go out there and conquer R.E.P.O.—just try not to lose your head.
