If you’ve played good survival crafting games before you would know that Sons Of The Forest will have a place among the rest if given enough time. It’s had a pretty good launch so far and people have been having a good time with it, even if you do lack the ability to craft a rope!
There’s still some confusion when it comes to trading items, however. Now that you have a partner to boss around you don’t have to do everything while looking over your shoulder as much.
If you have a tendency to forget game mechanics, well this guide is just for you!
Sons Of The Forest | How To Trade Items
Trading is easy until you forget how to do it, sometimes you just don’t have enough extra space so you let your friend hold onto anything you don’t need at the moment.
Here’s a quick refresher to make sure your partner doesn’t get too friendly with your stuff!
Once you’ve decided on what let go of, tap your friend whenever the backpack icon appears over them. This will pull up your items and you can just simply throw whatever you want over to your partner when the prompt for it shows up.
This is much faster than dropping items, especially during an emergency. You can only use small items for trade however, if you want to trade food for example then you can just do that over a campfire and the rest of your crew will pick up whatever you leave for them.
That’s how you trade items if you have friends and would like to play multiplayer!
In single player, Kelvin almost functions the same as he can hold onto items for you until you command him to give something back.
