Pro League is a league in the Nintendo Switch Sports with competitive ranks. This league allows you to climb into higher ranks and battle against other players competitively. However, competitive play is not unlocked automatically.
You can only play casually in each sport from the start. To unlock the Pro League, you need to continue playing a sport until you can unlock its Pro League. Approximately, you need about 8 wins to unlock the Pro League in a sport.
Once you unlock the Pro League on that sport, you can now climb the ranks. Keep in mind that you only unlocked the Pro League for that particular sport, not everything else. You also need to win about 8 games for each sport if you want to unlock them all.
The process can be lengthy but this ensures that you have played the game enough before you play competitively.
