With each new expansion for Destiny 2 comes changes, changes that will affect weapons, gear, and more. Lightfall is no exception and you can find plenty of changes that you may or may not like.
One such change that Destiny 2 veterans have praised so far is the new way of getting Weapon Patterns. They were much harder to get pre-Lightfall, but now they claim it is much easier to unlock.
In this guide, we will show you how to unlock Weapon Patterns for when you jump into the Lightfall expansion.
Destiny 2 Lightfall – How To Unlock Weapon Patterns
When you get a new weapon and you notice that there is a red border at the bottom left side of the icon, you will see that the weapon has a Pattern that can be extracted.
All you have to do is click on Details to get examine the weapon.
Once you are on the Details screen, you will see the red box on the right. Hover over it and you will unlock the sub menu for extracting the pattern.
Simply press the Apply button on the pattern, and you will get yourself a Pattern for that weapon.
This is a big change from before, as prior to Lightfall, Destiny 2 had people reach a certain number of kills or activities finished. This latest change in the Weapon Patterns is a huge plus in the eyes of the community.
