Factory games like Satisfactory or Factorio are games that are often addicting. It usually doesn’t have that long of a grind and keeps you progressing through a number of stages usually in the form of tech trees to make your factory more efficient overtime. The game usually gives you new things bit by bit so that you can evolve your factory gradually, making it produce more and more as well as making it as efficient as possible. In this guide we’ll show you how to use Smart Splitters in the game, a very important addition to your factory that will ease up a lot of bottlenecks!
Satisfactory: How to Use Smart Splitters
You’ve probably seen Conveyor Splitters, which splits things equally between 3 conveyors, this is great if you want to send a single resource to 3 different places, but what if there were more resources in that conveyor? What if you want to split steel, and concrete to two conveyors from one? Well that’s where you use a Smart Splitter.
To use a Smart Splitter is pretty easy, all you need to do is research it, make one and plop it down a conveyor belt. Then you’ll have to go towards it and press E to configure it.
From there you can configure what item goes out to where, from center to left and right outputs. So if you want Iron to go to the center and limestone to the right you can do so. With this you can save a lot of headache and make less conveyors but with more splitters.
You don’t even have to stop at one Smart Splitter, if you want to be more complex you can use a bunch of these to split up a bunch of resources in one conveyor, just remember to configure each one of them!
Congratulations you now know how to use Smart Splitters in Satisfactory, now go out there and try to do it yourself!
