Best Way To Farm Materials

Currently, there are eight different materials that you can obtain in Hunty Zombies. All of them do not drop in the same place, with some being exclusive to the School map while others to the Sewers.

Here is a breakdown of all the materials and where to find them in the game:

  • School
    • Backpack
    • Pen
    • Book
  • Sewers
    • Tire
    • Glass
    • Nut
    • Bottle.

The last one is a key materials that can be obtained from both maps but for now it has no use. So, you can safely ignore it.

Now, let’s look at how you can get materials, ways to increase the drop rates and strategies to make the process efficiently.

How To Get Materials

Materials in Hunty Zombies only drop from special zombies. Regular zombies will never drop them, so you will need to focus on the stronger zombies.

Here are all the special zombies to watch out for in the game:

  • TNT Zombies
  • Toxic Zombies
  • Rat Zombies
  • Chef Zombie
  • Vampire Zombie
  • Basketball Zombies
  • Giant Zombies.

Every time you defeat a special zombie, there is a 2.5% chance for it to drop a material. So, on average, you can expect to get a material drop for every 40 special zombies killed.

This is quite a low drop rate. So, let’s take a look at how we can speed things up!

Pets (Increase The Drop Rates)

The first way that you can use to increase the drop chances is by using a pet. There are multiple pets in Hunty Zombies and each of them can be used to increase them.

The higher the rarity of the pet, the higher the boost to the drop chances. We strongly recommend that you get at least one as the boost is fairly noticeable when you are farming.

You should be able to get one by saving up your coins or spins. You might also want to check out our farming coins guide as well to find out the fastest method.

Best Maps For Farming

Starting off, the School map is usually faster to complete in the game with a decent number of special zombies per round. So, if you weapon isn’t strong enough, it’s a good starting point for your farming journey.

However, if you can handle the Sewers, it’s going to give you better results. This is because it usually spawns the most Special Zombies in a single run. This means there are more chances for materials to drop.

Keep in mind though, that the Sewer is much harder to beat – especially solo. So, we recommend that you play with friends to speed things up.

Additionally, the difficulty that you select also plays an important role. You will still get special zombies on normal mode, but their spawn rate will be much lower compared to high or nightmare difficulty.

If you can beat Hard Mode comfortably, you should go for it compared to normal. It will me much more efficient.

Nightmare Mode is the most efficient difficulty for farming materials. It spawns the highest number of special zombies, which means you’ll be rolling the 2.5% drop chance more often.

This means you’ll be able to farm materials as quickly as possible – even if it is much harder.

Additional Tips – To Make Farming More Efficient

Here are some more tips that you can use to make farming materials even faster:

  • Always play with a team if you can
    • When you play with other players, the map clears much faster and you face more special zombies in less time
  • Pay attention to your weapon traits
    • Currently, there are no special traits that boost drop rates
    • But you can use Traits like Beast to increase your damage and attack speed
    • Higher damage and attack speed means that you clear maps faster, finish runs quicker and get more special zombies per hour
  • If you’re farming for a long time, switch between school and sewers
    • This will ensure that you get different types of materials that are tied only to specific maps.
