As you progress through the game, you’ll come across a lot of different potions which can help you in battle or in other aspects of the game.
Luckily, you can easily buy them from most shops in the game. However, you can also learn the recipes for potions and craft them yourself.
In this guide, we’ll show you where you can find the recipes for the Invisibility, Maxima, Focus, and Thunderbrew potions.
Where to Find the Recipes

Luckily, you can find all four recipes in one place, which is at J. Pippin’s Potions in Hogsmeaded. You can find the location of this shop on the map above.
Once you arrive at the shop, you’ll be able to purchase all four recipes for the following prices:
- Maxima Potion Recipe: 500 gold
- Invisibility Potion Recipe: 800 gold
- Focus Potion Recipe: 1,200 gold
- Thunderbrew Recipe: 1,200 gold
After purchasing the recipes, you can then craft them whenever you’d like. But first, you’ll need a place to craft them.
Where to Craft Potions

To craft potions, you’ll need to find a Potions Station. There are multiple Potions Stations spread throughout the world.
We have marked an easy one to find in the Astronomy Wing in the picture above.
