While playing Lies of P, you’ll encounter the Red Fox and Black Cat as part of a questline. You’ll see them in various locations, and every time you do, you’ll need to make important decisions, whether to help them or not. If you’re having a hard time deciding, I got you!
Should You Accept Red Fox’s Offer?
It depends on what ending you want for the questline and how you want the story to play out, as your decisions will have their consequences. Let’s take a closer look on each option for all the encounters.
Malum District
If you accept the offer, Red Fox and Black Cat will join you in combat as you go through the streets towards the Black Rabbit Hideout. However, they might not have the nicest things to say to you.
But hey, at least you reach the hideout easier. Once you do reach the location, they will wait outside as you clear out the enemies. After that, there will be a dialogue and they’ll disappear.
On the other hand, if you don’t accept the offer, there will be no interactions or dialogues with Red Fox and Black Cat. Moreover, you’ll continue through the level on your own. And they’ll remember you decision later on.
Grand Exhibition
If you accept the offer and give Black Cat a Gold Coin Fruit, Red Fox will be very thankful and mention wanting to be friends. He will also thank you and give you a Quixotic vinyl record and the Beg gesture.
If you can’t give them the fruit or choose not to, they’ll ask you for one and you can still decide to give it to them. But if you proceed to the next area without giving them the fruit, Red Fox and Black Cat will move on, thinking you didn’t want to share.
However, if you want to make them like you more but don’t have a Gold Coin Fruit, it’s a good idea to go back to Hotel Krat and pick one from the Gold Coin Tree before continuing.
Arche Abbey Outer Wall – Ending
Upon reaching Arche Abbey, you’ll encounter both Black Cat and Red Fox separately. If you didn’t help them, you’ll have to fight both characters as boss fights to move on.
But if you did help them in the Malum District and gave Black Cat a Gold Coin Fruit during the Grand Exhibition, you can skip the fights.
Moreover, if Black Cat sees you as a friend because you helped him and gave him a Gold Coin Fruit before, he’ll just ask for another fruit instead of fighting you. Give it to him, and he’ll also ask you to spare his sister, giving you the Black Cat Mask.
Later, you’ll meet Red Fox. If she considers you a friend and you didn’t hurt Black Cat, she’ll ask for another Gold Coin Fruit and give you the Red Fox Mask.
