Lightyear Frontier: How To Make Iron Bars

Lightyear Frontier provides players with a unique survival experience that they can go through alongside their trust mech. Like most games of this genre, you will need to farm resources so that you can survive the dangers of the wild. Doing so allows you to unlock even more recipes.

An important resource that you’ll need when playing the game is Iron Bars. However, you might not have come up with the recipe for this resource yet. Not to worry, we have you covered. In this guide, we’ll show you exactly how to make Iron Bars. Let’s get into it!

How To Make Iron Bars

To make Iron Bars in Lightyear Frontier, you’ll need to go through the following steps:

1. Unlock the Grinder by crafting Copper Wires;
2. Unlock the Furnace Recipe by crafting Clay;
3. Craft Iron Bars at the Furnace with the required ingredients.

Craft Copper Wires (Unlock the Grinder)

Your goal of making Iron Bars in Lightyear Frontier will require you to get a Grinder. However, to unlock the Grinder, you’ll first need to craft Copper Wires. We have it outlined in detail on our How To Make Copper Wire guide in Lightyear Frontier.

In essence, you’ll first need to come upon some Copper wire. However, it can be difficult to find copper ore if you’re still in the starting area.

Below is a location on the Lightyear Frontier map where you can find plentiful Copper. So, go there and harvest some for yourself!

After that, return to the Assembler and you can simply craft the Copper Wire from there. For every x2 Copper Ore, you will be able to craft x1 Copper Wire.

Additionally, doing so will unlock the Grinder recipe, along with various others in Lightyear Frontier.

Build a Grinder

Once you’ve unlocked the Grinder, it is time to start building it. A Grinder is an essential requirement if you want to be able to make Iron Bars. All you need to do is get the required resources and make it.

Here are the ingredients that you need for the Grinder in Lightyear Frontier:

• x12 Stone
• x4 Copper Wire
• x4 Aluminum Rod

You already know how to get Copper Wire as mentioned above. The rest of the ingredients can be found pretty easily in the Meadows area.

Craft Clay (Unlock Furnace)

Now that the Grinder is ready, it is time to make some Clay. Making Clay for some Iron Bars does seem counter intuitive, but bear with us!

You cannot craft Clay straightaway, and instead, will need to create another resource available in Lightyear Frontier. This is Stone Dust, and you can craft it using the Grinder.

All you need to do is bring some Stones to the Grinder. It will convert the Stone into Stone Dust.

Once you have the Stone Dust, make your way back to the Assembler. Here, you can use your Stone Dust to craft some Clay.

Making some Clay will also automatically unlock the Furnace recipe in Lightyear Frontier.

Build a Furnace

The Iron Bars are nearly in your sight! Next up, you’ll be building a Furnace where you’ll actually be crafting the Iron Bars. However, the Furnace will also require some ingredients of its own.

Here are the ingredients, you’ll need for the Furnace in Lightyear Frontier:

• x12 Clay
• x12 Wood.

You already know how to make Clay, and Wood is pretty easy to come by in the game. Just one more step, and you’ll have your fresh Iron Bars!

Make Iron Bars

Build the Furnace and interact with it to access the menu. On this menu, you’ll find a variety of resources and items that you can craft. This includes the Iron Bars that you’ve been looking for.

Here are the ingredients that you’ll need to make the Iron Bars in the furnace:

• x2 Iron Ore
• x1 Coal.

You can use the map to check which region can provide you with the required resources. The Yellow Forest will have both of the ingredients that you need for the Iron Bars.

Just make sure that you are on the lookout for Caves, whenever you’re exploring the map. It is inside Caves that you’ll find a lot of Coal reserves.

After that, you can simply craft all the Iron Bars you need! They will open up further recipes, and allow you to expand your base even more.
