Unlike other Gacha games where there are a ton of different characters you can try to get; in Limbus Company you get all the characters at the start. What you do roll for are their identities, which are basically different versions of the same character. They can have different mechanics, abilities and skills that they can use in battle. You can even upgrade them up to 4 tiers but that can get expensive.
In this guide, we’ll show you which Identities you should upgrade to Tier 4. Not all of them are worth it and some of them even get worse if you do so. Now, let’s see what the identities you should spend your resources on!
Which IDs Should You Uptie to Tier 4?
In Limbus Company, you can upgrade the many character Identities through Uptying. Generally, that means making the abilities stronger or even change or add to the current abilities and skills. Uptying Identities can cost a lot though so you’ll want to know what you should really invest your resources on. Here are the Identities that if uptied to Tier 4 gets massive buffs or additional stuff that makes them stronger:
- Faust: W Corp. L2 Cleanup Agent — Doubles the gain of Charge Count as well as +2 coin power for the first skill. Second skill now gains more charge than it uses. Passive now gives 1 charge to random allies.
- Mersault: W Corp. L2 Cleanup Agent — Doubles Charge Count on the first skill. Second and third skills gets coin power with charge. The passive also now lets him gain charge when losing a clash.
- Meursault: R Corp. 4th Pack Rhino — Double Charge count on the first skill. Second skill also gets double the charge and now can inflict bleed. Third skill gains coin power and more when at 10+ Charge. Passive now gives him aggro when at 5+ Charge.
- Ishmael: R Corp. 4th Pack Reindeer — First skill gains 1 base power, charge count bonus now on hit and gains 2 more on use. Second skill gains more base power and gets more charge and sinking count. Third skill now only spends 8 charges instead of all of them. Passive now only lose SP when you fail to do damage instead of the start of the attack power up.
- Rodion: Kurokumo Clan Wakashu — First skill adds coin power at 4+ Poise and now gives poise on hit instead of heads hit. Second skill adds more poise count and now gains power with 5+ poise. Third skill gains 2 power and deals double damage on a crit. The counter also now gives poise count.
That’s not much in terms of the total number of ID’s out there in the game. There’s a high chance that most of you don’t have the ones above, so below are the next best ones to Uptier to 4. They’re not as strong as the above but are still considered well worth upgrading:
- Yi Sang: Seven Association South Section 6 — Gains a lot of power with all the skills.
- Yi Sang: Blade Lineage Salsu — First and third skills gets poise count on use. Damage on Critical Hit increase with the third skill and counter.
- Don Quixote: W Corp. L3 Cleanup Agent — Makes the skills more consistent in gaining charge.
- Hong Lu: Liu Association South Section — First skill gains a lot of coin power if target is at 6+ burn.
- Heathcliff: LCB Sinner — One of the best base ID to uptie just because of raw stats.
- Heathcliff: R Corp. 4th Pack Rabbit — Gains 3 ammo at the start of the stage.
- Ishmael: Liu Association South Section 4 — Gains 1 more coin power for the first and second skill. 20% more damage on the third skill.
Below are the IDs that you’ll want to uptier if you don’t have any of the above. These ID’s when upgraded to tier 4 don’t really get anything meaningful but are still strong. So, it’s good to upgrade them just for the base increases.
- Yi Sang: Effloresced E.G.O: Spicebush
- Faust: Lobotomy Corp. Remnant
- Faust: The One Who Grips
- Don Quixote: Cinq Association South Section 5 Director
- Ryoshu: Kurokumo Clan Wakashu
- Ryoshu: R.B. Chef de Cuisine
- Hong Lu: Tingtang Gang Gangleader
- Hong Lu: K Corp. Class 3 Excision Staff
- Hong Lu: Kurokumo Clan Wakashu
- Heathcliff: N Corp. Kleinhammer
- Ishmael: Shi Association South Section 5
- Rodion: Rosespanner Workshop Rep.
- Outis: Seven Association South Section 6 Director
- Gregor: Rosespanner Workshop Fixer
Anything outside of the lists above isn’t really worth upgrading to Tier 4. Most of the IDs either get no meaningful bonuses or do get them but are generally weaker. Try to get the IDs above if you really want an Uptie 4, if you can’t then it’s best to hold on to those materials.
There is one ID though that actively gets worse when you uptie it to 4 and that’s Sinclair’s Lobotomy E.G.O::Red Sheet. That’s because the second skill now spends 5 Talisman to give 7 Talisman. Which sounds like a buff but remember if you go above 6 Talismans it disappears at the end of the turn. You’ll want to keep the Talisman on the enemy and having 7 won’t do that.
Those are all the viable IDs that you should Uptie to Tier 4 in Limbus Company. Go check out our guide on what EGOs to threadspin to Tier 4 if you haven’t already!
