With a new update comes new content and for some games that means new units to learn. The balance often shifts, and the META moves to accommodate for these new units. It’s great to learn what the new units do, so you’ll know if it’s worth investing in them!
In Anime World Tower Defense (AWTD), there are a lot of different units for you to learn and more comes out with each update. The newest one to be added is the Renegade Cultist and is one of the better damaging units out there.
In this guide, we’ll show you how this unit works in Anime World Tower Defense. We’ll also go through its stats and the strengths of this unit. Now, let’s see what this new tower has for us!
LR Hidan Guide
The new update for the game has added the new Immortal category and added a few units to it. One of the new units is in that category as well and it’s the Renegade Cultist.

Renegade Cultist
The Renegade Cultist is extremely strong and as it starts with the Bleeding passive. At Upgrade Level 3, the passive changes to Bloodthirsty which deals more damage to bleeding enemies. His attack also changes to a Line AOE at level 3.
When you upgrade it some more to Level 6, the passive will change to Bloodthirsty II and his attacks will now be in full AOE. The range of the attacks is quite large as well, so keep that in mind when placing him down.
If you upgrade this unit to maximum, he’ll get the active skill “Immortal” which boosts his ATK by 500% and moves to the Player Base to protect it for 35 Seconds.
Combinations
With the new Immortal Category, you’ll want to use the Dog Captain as the leader since it buffs the category. The buffs include +120% ATK, -10% SPA, and -10% Cost.
Since this unit also gets Bloodthirsty II at higher upgrade levels you’ll want a unit that applies bleed. One of the best units to do this with is Pane so make sure to have him in a party with this unit to maximize damage!
