Make sure to pick up everything possible in Madison. No matter what it is it might come in handy one time or another and you can use it for solving puzzles. In this case, you must have picked up the family portraits beforehand. Then once you have them, you can finish the Attic Portrait puzzle. Let’s see how you can do this.

Attic Portrait Puzzle Solution – Madison

You will have to collect all of the 4 portraits before you start doing this puzzle. Once you have them all you will have to take a photo of the spaces that are left behind on the wall. It’s going to look sort of pale white.

After you take a photo a whole series of numbers will appear. This number is what you’ll need later on for solving this puzzle. It is going to be random and different for any player so don’t try to copy them from this guide as well. It might be yours, but it might be something different.

Then right after go in your inventory and look for the portraits of the people that lived here. You will turn the whole portraits around and behind them you’ll see numbers. If you see the number that showed on the pale white wall, well place that portrait in that place.

To do this you’ll have to subtract the number (13) on the picture from the number from behind that portrait. For example, if it is 43, you’ll have to put the 43 number on the wall.

You will have to do this a total of 4 times with every portrait. Once every portrait is placed in the correct position lights will go blinking and you can go to the cracked wall to peak. The puzzle has been finished. Congratulations!
