The new EFT-like game Marauders is out in early access now and with that there’s a whole quest line ready for the new players out there. The game boasts a looter shooter game with a heavy inspiration for diesel-punk aesthetics as players ride space ships and raid space stations. These stations are filled with loot, weapons, AI and other players. The game also has a crafting system filled with crafting recipes from consumables and guns to complement your loadouts. In this guide we’ll go through the Zero to Hero quest line in the game in the form of contracts.
“Zero To Hero” Quests Explained | Quests 1-10 In Marauders
When you start the game, you’ll get a quest line called Zero to Hero. It’s a series of contracts that you do to help new players out in learning about the game and the contract system. Some of them can be pretty simple, while others need a bit more effort to do so in this guide, we’ll show you how to do the Zero to Hero contracts.
Contract #1: Junk Scrap
The easiest contract is at the start and it’s just a mission to deliver 3 junk scrap. You can basically do this before going to your first raid, just buy some cheap weapons like a knife and scrap them, they usually give you Junk Scraps.
Contract #2: Examine the Asteroid Half Track Bike
For this one you’ll need to dock into the asteroid mine and go to the center of the map. Down the center are ramps that go down and there you’ll see the Half Track Bike on one side. Just interact with it for a few seconds to complete the contract.
Contract #3: Get 5 Kills with Any Weapon
A simple quest, all you need to do is kill 5 enemies, whether they’re NPCs or players. So go into a raid with a good weapon and start hunting them down!
Contract #4: Kill 3 Marauders
Much like the previous quest but instead of NPCs you’ll need to kill 3 Marauder players. This can be tough, especially if you’re new to the game so try to get a jump on them first.
Contract #5: Deliver 8 Metal Sheets
Metal Sheets are easy to find in Marauders and can be found in trash cans and cargo boxes and some gear and armor can be scrapped to get them.
Contract #6: Examine the Merchant Frigate Engine
This one is a bit up to RNG since you’ll need the Merchant Frigate to spawn in the raid. Don’t worry we have a whole guide on that here: Marauders: Merchant Frigate Engine Location
Contract #7: Deliver a Silver Coin
You can easily get these silver coins from locked safes and rarely they’re found on dead NPCs. They can also be found in locked rooms so remember to bring lockpicks!
Contract #8: Hold the Furnace for 90 Seconds
The furnace is an area in the Asteroid mine and you can’t miss it since it’s a room with a bunch of dead AI bodies on it and a bunch of other AI can spawn there. Just stay there and survive for 90 seconds and you’re all good!
Contract #9: Kill 20 Security
Security NPCs can spawn anywhere but the best place to find them is in the Merchant Frigate. Just stay in the ship and keep fighting the respawning AI until you kill 20 of them.
Contract #10: Find the Merchant Marked Container
The last quest will bring you back to the merchant ship. This time you’ll need to find a marked container, which can be annoying since the mark is so small. Look for a container with a thin red line on it pictured below.
The container can be found in the room between the Customs and Customs Crew rooms.
