So, in this guide, we’ll show you how you can enable the Realistic and Classic Modes.
How To Enable Realistic and Classic Mode
Men of War 2 has quite a lot of depth to it, especially related to the units and infantry systems. All of this is affected by the type of game. So, we recommend that you check out our Men of War Complete Beginner’s Guide.
It’ll help you understand how the base game modes work and how they relate to the realistic and classic modes. With that said, here is how you can enable the Realistic and Classic Modes in Men of War 2:
- Change Match Setup Mode in Lobby Settings to enable Classic Mode
- Change Game Settings in Lobby to enable Realism Mode
- Go to the Options Menu to enable Realism Mode.
How To Enable Realism Mode
Starting off, we’ll be looking at how you can enable Realism Mode in Men of War 2. Realism Mode is a setting that is more suitable for veterans of the series. This is because it removes many visual cues in the game while also making the gameplay more difficult.
Here are some of the major changes you get with Realism Mode in Men of War 2:
- Removes HP Bars on Vehicles
- Removes Penetration Markers
- Removes Standard Icons that standard players are used to
- Limits Range of Artillery Fire
So, you’ll need to be much more accurate and precise when you are in Realism Mode. Additionally, you’ll also need to be careful about deploying your units and be aware of your vehicle stats by heart.
You can enable Realism mode in two ways in Men of War 2. For the first way, start by going into the Multiplayer mode and selecting the Lobby option. The Lobby option allows you to customize your lobby for multiplayer with a variety of settings.
Once you’re here, you should be able to see the Game Settings option. Click on it and you should be able to select between Competitive and Realism mode here.
Another way to enable Realism Mode is to select the Options menu in the top left corner of your screen. Click on the Packages option and you’ll see the Realism Mode option there as well. Simply click on the box to check it and you will have enabled it.
It is important to note that Realism mode does still have some visual cues. If you want to customize those as well for yourself, you have that option too. You can do that by first opening up the Options Menu.
Here, select Game and you can further change settings giving you more customization options. Now you can make the game as Realistic as you want for yourself by removing or adding new visual cues.
How To Enable Classic Mode
Next, we’ll be looking at how you can enable Classic Mode in Men of War 2. Classic Mode is one that has been highly requested by the community. In this game mode, there are no echelons or battalions, and instead players can select whichever of their nation’s units that they want.
There is a select population cap (around 100) and players can select units based on their resources and the units’ individual timer. You can enable Classic mode in two ways in Men of War 2. Starting off, when you are in the Multiplayer screen, you’ll see a variety of game modes available. You can select the Classic Mode here directly for PvP.
However, making the selection in Lobby is always better as you have much more control over the settings. When you are in the Lobby settings, look for the Match Setup Mode option.
Click on it and you can select any mode from the drop-down menu, which includes Classic Mode. You can also enable any other settings that you want alongside Classic Mode. And that’s how you can enable Classic Mode and Realism Mode in Men of War 2. In fact, you can even enable both at the same time if you want!
