The Call of Duty series has been a long standing one in the First-Person Shooter genre, all the from the first Call of Duty game back in the early 2000’s it has changed a lot throughout the years. Now there’s a new game coming out and it’s confusingly called Modern Warfare 2, which shouldn’t be confused with Modern Warfare 2 that was released back in 2009. To make it even more confusing, the game is a sequel to the Modern Warfare reboot back in 2019. Despite this, the game still holds a few traditional FPS mechanics, and of course it also has trophies. In this guide we’ll show you how to get the Gunless Trophy.

Since Modern Warfare 2 is not a remake of the old game but actually a sequel to the reboot, there are a few changes and additions that stand out. One of which is crafting, the game now features crafting similar to the last of us, where you take specific and limited items to make improvised tools and such. The best example of how crafting is handled in the game is through “Alone” chapter, and this is also the chapter where you can get the trophy.
To get the Gunless Trophy you have to go through the entirety of the Alone chapter without firing a single gun. That means using stealth, tools that you can craft like smoke bombs, and knife takedowns. The best way to get this trophy is to play it in recruit difficulty.
There will be times where you’ll need to take out a group of enemies and you can easily take a bunch of hits in the recruit difficulty. So go with that difficulty, use knife takedowns and use crafted tools to your advantage.
