Modern Warfare 2: Slide Cancel Complete Guide

Modern Warfare 2 will be out soon! It is a sequel to the CoD game of 2019 and it is fairly similar but it has much better visuals and gameplay improvements. One of the successful strategies that players have been doing is the Slide Cancel. That is why in this guide we will give you a complete overview of how you can do it. Let’s get started.

First of all, you will need to go into your settings and then under the Gameplay Tab. Once here you will be looking for Weapon Mount Activation. Put it on like this:

• ADS + Melee

Always have your Automatic Sprint On. It is a Call of Duty game, why are you even playing without this?! This will give you the sprinting option always on and you won’t need to press another button when slide canceling, so it is very important that you have it on.

Make sure that Your Slide is set on Tap to Slide. This is the default setting, so if you didn’t change it from before you should be good to go. If not, go ahead and inside your gameplay settings you can change it too.

Now, all that you’ll need to do is actually sprint and then slide. To slide you will click and press the button that you have the tab option on. You will do it while running.

Then while you are in the middle of the slide animation you will need to press the B button and the ADS button. Once you’re doing this you will have to press the melee button at almost the same time as the other one and then just click the aim button of your gun.

Just make sure that you wait for the sliding animation to start. Lots of players get it wrong because they try to be faster than the animation itself. It doesn’t work that day. You will do this only probably 0.5 seconds after you’ve started the sliding animation. You need to do it fast, but not instantly.

In Modern Warfare 2019 we were possible to do it faster, but it is not the case with this new sequel Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2022. So just:

• Slide – ADS – Melee

You are able to do a lot of quick strategies with this move so that your enemies won’t see it coming. If you are quick enough you might even mount up next to a wall after doing this slide cancel too. It takes time to perfect it so keep trying.
