Modern Warfare 2 is coming out in a very short period of time. If you are interested in giving it a try, or you might be a veteran of the game, of course, you will want to play with a sniper rifle every now and then. In this guide, we will be giving you a complete guide on the most important things that you need to look out for when playing as a Sniper in MW2. Let’s get started.

Sniping Complete Guide – Modern Warfare 2

Sniping in Modern Warfare 2 is fairly easy but at the same time very hard to do. Literally, you can one-shot an enemy even if you shoot them at their legs, which makes it very easy to do. But at the same time, you will get killed just by a couple of bullets by the weakest and smallest pistol.

And as you might know, Call of Duty is complete havoc and chaos everywhere, so you will get people running all around you, spawning in front of you, jumping on top of you, meleeing you from a mile away, and such.

That is why it is very important to know a couple of tips before you start sniping.

Choose the Perfect Sniper

The best sniper to be sniping in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is the Signal 50. It is a sniper that is not that hard to control and you will get a one shot on an enemy no matter how far or close they are. That makes it very powerful.

It is fairly slower than the other snipers but it makes up for the damage. You will want to shoot at the enemy somewhere above the waist area to get a secure one shot-kill.

Be at a Distance

You will always want to keep your distance as much as possible from incoming enemies. You can of course do a no-scope, but if you are a beginner it is more than possible that you won’t be able to hit anything with this shot.

Secure Corners and Learn the Map

So that is why you will want to make an overview of the map where you’re playing. Secure a couple of corners where enemies could be coming from and just protect them. You will always take the long route when traveling from one area to the other in MW2 with a sniper.

This way you will get a chance to see the enemy before they see you, and one-half of a second is enough for you to kill them.

Practice your Flick

You will want to keep practicing your flick if you want to be successful with the Sniper Rifle in CoD MW2. This means that you will want to move your hand either on the mouse or the controller, to the target as fast as possible.

Do not attack or look for enemies while scoped in. Instead, you will see the enemies running about and only then scope directly on them. This doesn’t only save you time, but you will most likely be way more precise and have a look and overview around your vicinity.

There are multiple methods on how you can practice your flick. You can select a point on the wall(maybe a flower pot) and then look away from it. Then just try to flick with your sniper and scope directly on it. For some players, this might take months to perfect, but once you do, you’ll become a much better sniper.

That’s everything you need to know about playing as a Sniper in MW2. We hope that this guide was helpful and made you a better sniper. Happy Sniping!
