MultiVersus: How To Parry Guide

When playing a fighting game, it’s not always just about smashing buttons and hoping you win, there’s a technique to it. You’ll want to learn how the different mechanics work, and some of them even have to parry for players to learn and use.

In MultiVersus, you can parry your opponents any time in a match. Learning this skill can be great since you can quickly turn the tide of a battle by timing it right. All you need to know is how to initiate a parry and when to use it!

How To Parry Guide

When playing a fighting game, even if it’s a party game, there can be a lot of depth to it. Learning the different moves, combos and even mechanics can give you an edge in the battle. If you’re aiming to win, then you should know how to at least parry moves, so that you can punish your enemies!

To parry an attack, you’ll need to time it right. Right as the enemy lands an attack, do a Neutral Evade, and if timed right, you’ll do a parry. You’ll know you did it right if it says “Parried” like in the image below. Parrying an enemy lets you attack immediately since their attack doesn’t hit you.

With the right parry, you can switch from defending to attacking by quickly starting a combo or setting up for one. You can also parry projectiles, so that they won’t do damage to you, and if it’s close enough, you can counterattack!

To do a Neutral Evade, you’ll want to press these buttons for the respective console:

• PC – Shift or L.
• Playstation – Square or RT.
• Xbox – B or RT.

Learning to parry and master it is a great way to get out of the enemy combos. You can practice parrying by either playing with bots or trying it with friends or other players. Timing is the key so a lot of practice is needed to master it!
