Tips for playing as Jake
Below are some tips that will help you out when you are playing as Jake:
Countering Projectiles
Jake’s special attack (That’s Heavy Dude) is capable of bouncing off projectiles when Jake is in the transformed form. This is very effective against enemies that rely heavily on projectile attacks.
Jake not only protects himself from projectiles, he also redirects them towards the enemy which deals them damage. Although this move should be mostly utilized for defensive purposes.
Long Range
Jake’s normal attack (You Axe’d For It!) has pretty impressive range allowing you to hit opponents from quite a distance. It can be charged to reach even further. You can use this move to strike in the direction you want which makes it harder for your enemy to counter against it.
Recovery
Jake’s side special (Giddy Up!) and up special (Where’s My Halfpipe?) are very useful in recovering. If you find yourself getting knocked away, make sure to use these moves to recover.
And this is it for this guide, I hope you found it helpful! A decent number of changes were made in the game in the latest 1.01 patch. If you want to learn more about these changes, then check out this guide: MultiVersus: All Changes in Patch 1.01 Guide.
