Character Difficulty Tier List

There are currently 18 characters in the game, each with their unique Quirks that take inspiration from the anime.

It is likely that more will be added in the future. For now, though, we have organized them into a Tier List below that varies from Easy to Insane. We have also provided reasons for each ranking.

Difficulty Tier List of My Hero Ultra Rumble Characters.

Insane Skill

  • Himiko Toga – Toga gets the Insane Skill off the bat because of her Transform Quirk where she can imitate other people’s Quirks. This means that you need to have an understanding of all characters and how to use them. Not an easy task by any stretch.

Very Hard

  • Tenya Ida – Ida’s Quirks require a lot of movement and thought. You need to be able to chain these attacks properly so that you can perform combos on enemies. His Gamma ability also debuffs him temporarily to timing mastery is key.
  • Tsuyu Asui – Tsuyu requires a lot of aiming skill and mastery to use her abilities. She doesn’t do much damage and relies on poking and annoying the enemies. Depending on how you use her camouflage, you can even save your downed teammates.
  • Eijiro Kirishima – Kirishima can be a powerful character but he is incredibly limited in range. This means that you need to get up close and this will require a lot of skill and mastery. As a result, you need to be able to use his Quirks effectively while avoiding damage.

Hard

  • Katsuki Bakugo – Bakugo can be difficult to use because he requires precise aiming. The sniper or AP shot Quirk he has requires you to have pinpoint accuracy, especially at long distances. It is also difficult to figure out the best way to place his grenades.
  • Cementoss – Cementoss is pretty straightforward to play but has virtually no movement Quirks. He also has an ability that can create large walls that help change the battlefield. However, if not used right, it can easily mess up your teammates so mastery is needed with proper positioning.
  • Ochaco Uraraka – Uraraka’s moveset is incredibly clunky and hard to master. The Quirks she has just do not gel together. Additionally, her antigravity abilities require proper positioning and timing, which takes mastery and experience.
  • Dabi – It takes time to get used to Dabe’s trap and Ring of Fire Quirks. This is because these Quirks need to be positioned properly. He is also not a strong character for fights, and so you will have to learn to play off of your teammates.
  • Shoto Todoroki – Todoroki requires positioning and mastery to know when to use his ice Quirk to get away. Also, you need some skill to use his Flame Wall special ability. His ranged attack requires good aim too so it will take time to master him.

Normal

  • Tomura Shigaraki – Shigaraki isn’t super complicated but requires a bit of skill to use properly. This is because his attacks take a bit of time to understand. If you don’t use his attacks properly, enemies can predict how you use them easily so he does require more effort.
  • Mr. Compress – Mr. Compress is a pretty fun straightforward character to play. However, his Counter Quirk can take some time to get the hang of which means that he is just slightly above Easy in the Normal tier.
  • Denki Kaminari – Kaminari requires a bit of skill mainly for his chain lightning ability. It does require some experience and mastery to be able to chain properly to block people out. You also can’t use his AoE ability indiscriminately or you become dumb which opens you to attacks.
  • Mt. Lady – Mt. Lady is a fairly straightforward character to use. However, there is some skill required when figuring out how to transform and doing this correctly. Learning to use the transformation at the right time does take some time to figure out.
  • Itsuka Kendo – Kendo is a strong character to have when you have a three stack team but is not as effective when you’re playing solo. Otherwise, she is pretty straight forward but she just works best with a team. As a result, she falls in the Normal Tier.

Easy

  • All Might – All Might is fairly easy to play as. His attacks are incredibly powerful but are pretty straightforward and easy to use. So if you’re a beginner, you’ll have a great time with him as you can get hang of him pretty easily.
  • Deku – Deku is an incredibly easy and straightforward character to use. He can use simple projectiles to hit people and use the Blackwhip to reposition him wherever he wants. He is the tutorial character after all, so it makes sense why he’s in the Easy Tier.
  • Ibara Shiozaki – Ibara’s Quirks and movesets are incredibly easy to understand and make use of. She is also incredibly powerful. This is why she is one of the most used characters in the game at the moment.
  • Momo Yaoyorozu – Momo is a fairly simple to use because her abilities are just not complicated to use. She can just summon the items she needs for protection and damage. Additionally, she also has a very easy to use AoE attack.
