Dabi Beginner’s Guide
In this guide, we will dive into the important and basic information you need to know about Dabi. This includes his profile, abilities, role and Quirk Skills.
After that, we will look into strategies that you can employ when using Dabi in the game, including ways to help your friends.
Dabi’s Status
Dabi has a special status in that he is one of the only two characters in the game that has the Technical Role.
This Role allows him to give his whole team a Reload Speed UP buff. All characters have cooldowns on their abilities, and this allows them to use them more frequently.
This means that Dabi is not really suitable for taking on fights head-on. At best, you can win with him in a 1v1.
Instead, he is best for safe fights that you can take while staying close to your teammates. You can use his traps and ring ability to protect them during battles, as we’ll discuss further in this guide.
Dabi also has the Cremation Special Ability. This ability allows him to unleash a powerful Ring attack, similar to his Ring of Fire Quirk when he is downed.
You can use this when enemies are in your range, and the ring will do a lot of damage to them when they least expect it. This is incredibly helpful during the heat of battle.
Dabi’s Quirk Skills
Dabi has three Quirks Skills that are incredibly useful and unique. Each of them revolve around Damage, but he isn’t really good for inflicting damage until his abilities have been upgraded.
The first Quirk Skill that he has is Arson. This ability allows him to throw fireballs from a distance that actually track enemies. You won’t have to aim with this ability since the fire ball will automatically track towards the nearest enemies.
This Quirk makes Dabi incredibly suitable for a beginner who is still getting used to the game. You can just use Arson in the general directions of enemies and the game will do the rest. However, these fireballs do have a limited range so keep that in mind.
The second Quirk Skill is Shadow Fire. This skill allows him to create rings on the ground that act like traps.
Any enemy that step in this ring automatically gets damaged. These rings are great for placing down when your team is in the middle of battle or for trapping enemies in corners.
The third Quirk Skill is Ring of Fire. This skill allows Dabi to create a huge ring of fire around him.
Anyone in range gets damaged and the outer rim of this ring also inflicts damage to anyone. Furthermore, enemies inside the ring also get inflicted with passives that affect them negatively.
However, the main use for the Ring of Fire is for defense. This is because the ring can protect Dabi and his teammates from incoming projectiles and attacks while they are in the ring. Enemies will also avoid coming into the ring providing some much-needed breathing room.
Dabi Level Up Strategy
The first thing you want to do is to utilize your Level Up Cards properly with Dabi. This means that you will need to prioritize certain Quirk Skills over others and we will explain why.
The highest priority will go to the Arson Quirk Skill. This ability is going to be your main damage inflicting ability, and you won’t even have to aim with it. Therefore, you want to focus on getting this ability to the maximum level as soon as possible.
The second priority goes to the Ring of Fire Quirk Skill. This ability allows you to create a huge ring of fire around you that can damage people that are within range or on the rim of the ring. However, its main use is as a defense mechanism.
It can be used to protect you and your teammates from projectiles and damage. However, more importantly, you can use it when your Arson Quirk is on cooldown. You can buy time when inside the ring for your ability to recharge until you can start inflicting damage again.
So, you should try and start upgrading it alongside Arson, up to Max level if possible.
The last priority goes to the Shadow Fire Quirk Skill. This ability allows you to set up traps that enemies can walk into and take damage. It is certainly useful, but you don’t really need to upgrade it more than Lvl 4. At level 4, you are able to put down one extra trap.
The best way to use all of these Quirks is by first using the Arson Quirk to inflict damage. Once it goes into cooldown, immediately put down a Ring of Fire to protect yourself from incoming damage. Place Shadow Fire traps all around the middle of the circle to ensure enemies entering get damaged.
Repeat this process while ensuring that your teammates are with you to support you. You will be racking wins in no time! Soon, you will have mastered Dabi and will be using him to dominate matches!
