Perpetual no-space limbo.

New battle royale game Naraka Bladepoint is putting players against each other in a 3v3 or solo competition situation. While many players have had their share of experience in BR games, Naraka has pulled in a lot of players new to the BR settings. The limited space in bag is typically one of the problem players encounter midfight.

It’s always painful to see your backpack always constantly full and you never have enough space to carry what you need. Other times you’re just stuck with a broken shield and can’t find an Armor Powder for the longest time. Here’s how to optimize your inventory space and make the best out of what you have.

Inventory Management Guide

Your inventory management differs depending on the situation, but here’s the most basic ratio of items.

You cannot always have the ideal amount of items in Naraka Bladepoint because there’s always going to be someone else. A third party is always lurking and you might have to share with your teammate. But in general, you want 24 Grapples and more Armor Powder than Vitalia (8:4 or 10:2) whenever you’re looting. You need at least one slot for Repair Kit.

When it comes to Grapples, they’re essential item to get around the map and stagger your enemy. So 24 is the standard amount to have. Next we’ll talk about why the amount of Armor Powder.

I’ll slightly touch the aspect of how to take up fights: you don’t wait until you’re half HP before you start healing. In a fight where you’re yet committing, you want to keep your armor up at all times using Armor Powder. So even if there’s a bit of a dent, if you see enough distance to use your powder, use it. And that’s how you don’t end up having to use Vitalia as often.

And here are for several specific situations that’ll change your inventory management:

Solo vs. Trios

When you’re playing Solo, you want to keep your fights fast, which means no ranged attacks. The ideal amount of items you need is generally 4 stacks of Grapples, 4 stacks of Armor Powder, 2 stacks of Vitalia, and 1 stack of Repair Kits.

But entering a Trios composition, you’re going to have to coordinate with your team. Ideally, you will want to create a distance with the other team. Prolonged ranged fights demand more Repair Kits, so swapping out any of the other item for another stack of Repair Kits is acceptable.

This depends if you passively heals, you can swap out Vitalia. If you passively regenerates Armor, maybe swap out the stack of Armor Powder.

Ranged Setup

For Ranged setup, you need to carry 2-3 stacks of Repair Kits to keep your DPS up and sacrifice your Armor Powder slot. Ideally, you want to stay out of being in close combat that could break your Armor too often.

Armor Swap

Remember: armor swap is better and faster than using Armor Powder if you have the Purple Crystal. This is under the assumption that you’re already running a Purple Armor on yourself. The chances are low, but if you end up with this combination, it’s worth sacrificing two inventory slots.

Pick Up Limits Toggle

Naraka Bladepoint features the Pick Up Limit setting that lets you to stop picking up items you don’t need. For example, you don’t want to pick up 6 Repair Kits accidentally while spam looting. This toggle still allows you to go above the bag space just so you have more of one thing which is better than the other.

Finally, we cannot stress enough the importance of adopting your own fighting style and adjusting to situations. For example, if you’re stuck in a duo or solo situation after your teammates died, you may want to get more grapples to run away faster. Or if you’re in zone (Shadow) and the ring is far, you want to carry a lot more Vitalias with you.

Or if you’re the support character who can heal herself, so you want to share your Vitalias with others. You can also help carry the Moonbane, Stash Key, and other special items so your DPS or Tank can have more slots for themselves.
