Nomad Survival is an auto attack, wave clearing, time-based Roguelite game in which you will gain stronger as you progress through each run by upgrading your stats. The gameplay consists of waves of opponents attacking you from all sides, with each minute changing what sorts of foes may appear and how they act in a predictable manner. Let’s get started with this beginners guide.

Beginners Guide – Nomad Survival

Normal Survival is usually named as a Luga Rougelite type of game. You get to select a character, you get to select a level or a map, and then you simply just run around and kill stuff that most of the time will even come to you, so you won’t even have to worry about where to find them.

It is a game where you’ll have to think about your Item Builds. This is the key to getting amazing progress and not dying early on in all of the stages. The Character Builds are very important too. It is that type of game where you can modify simply everything on your characters and gear and change your entire gameplay world and experience.

Characters

As part of this beginners guide, the first thing you should know is that every character that you might pick in Nomad Survival has a basic attack. This can be anything from hitting with a normal slash by using a sword with the Adventurer, to firing a bolt and ghosting to a far distance with a Voidwalker, for example.

These are all the characters that you can be using. The beauty of this game is that they are wonderfully designed and we can say without a doubt that there is no overpowered character. Well maybe the Speedling, but that is a completely different topic for another day(he simply runs around the maps very fast).

 You can play as:

  • The Adventurer
  • The Crusader
  • The Cultist
  • The Ratfolk Archer
  • The Divine
  • The Quickling
  • The Necromancer

You can unlock some of them by defeating some Golems or getting achievements. All of them have different levels and different buffs that you are able to obtain.

Kills

After a certain amount of kills is how you’ll be progressing and advancing through the game. When you get enough kills you’ll get a level up. After this level up, and choosing of the desired perk, you’ll choose another, and one after that.

This leveling system is what you’ll be doing throughout all of this game. It is highly rewarding and very addicting at the same time. Leveling up and getting stronger character, perks, and skills, while dealing with stronger enemies is something that is a real joy to play through.

Heritages

Whenever you choose a character, you get to choose one more thing about them. These are the things that define how your character will play as. It can be one of these:

  • The Berserker
  • The Poxbringer
  • The Merchant
  • The Nomad
  • The Statue

There are others also unlockable after a while. All of them make your play style very different. You will be choosing a playstyle of running around, dealing tons of damage in a second, dealing tons of damage after a while, or simply sitting in one place and not being able to move at all. It is a fantastic little extra detail to make your every game different than the other.

You can see it as an additional set of rules applied to your game and mode.

Achievements

A lot of the players play this game simply for these achievements. You are in a game where your goal is to simply come up with tons of new strategies of how you can kill thousands of enemy mobs that will literally try to fly to your face.

Everything combined with this aspect and the achievements makes it for a very fun experience. This can be everything from killing tons of enemies at once, staying alive for more than a couple of minutes without damaging anyone, etc. There are very cool and interesting trophies that you can unlock that make Nomad Survival an extremely fun little game where you can just blow off some steam every once in a while. Unlocking new characters might be the best thing ever!

Game Modes

You can choose from these sets of game modes.

It is also very fun because of how it can add to your entire gameplay experience. You can also change the modifiers when you actually finish the game. This means that you have full control over how the game world works. You can punish and chain yourself but at the same time get higher rewards because of the harder difficulty. Fun!

If you are on the fence and thinking about whether this is the game for you, well simply think about this, how would you like to just sit down, pick a character with nothing, and in 10 minutes watch them level up and progress by defeating millions of monsters around him. It is really fun!

That’s all for our beginners guide on Nomad Survival. Hope this helps!
