Once Human offers players a variety of World Tasks that they can complete for all sorts of rewards. They also add a lot of lore to the world while allowing them to get unique currencies like Stellar Planula. One such quest that you’ll come across is the A Family Legacy Quest.
In this quest, there are some objectives which can confuse players, particularly in relation to the secret code and the treasure map location. So, we’ll show you how you can complete the entire quest from scratch in Once Human. Let’s get into it!
A Family Legacy Quest Guide
The recommended level for A Family Legacy Quest is Level 32 in Once Human. So, we strongly suggest that you are at the right level before you try this quest.
With that said, here is the breakdown of the steps you need to follow to complete the A Family Legacy Quest in Once Human:
- Enter Mae’s Mansion in Evergreen
- Read Mae’s Diary
- Rotate the Bricks based on the Code
- Grab the Rosetta’s Researcher Map
- Head to Alternate Reality Research Institute
- Loot the Rosetta Safe to complete the quest.
Enter Mae’s Mansion
Starting off, to begin the A Family Legacy quest you’ll need to head to Mae’s Mansion. You can find this mansion at Evergreen in the Red Sands Region of Once Human.
The specific location of this mansion is shown on the map below.
Read Mae’s Diary
Inside the mansion, you’ll need to read Mae’s Diary. There are actually two entries of Mae’s Diary in Once Human that you can read.
For now, you only need to read the one that can be found towards the left. This diary entry is inside the kitchen.
Interact with the Diary and you’ll be given a hint towards a code. After that, you’ll need to move some blocks right next to you.
Rotate Blocks Puzzle
Now, we’ll look at how you can complete the puzzle in Once Human.
Here is how you’ll need to move the blocks for this A Family Legacy Quest puzzle in Once Human:
- Rotate the first block until you see a ‘U’ facing you (Rotate 2 times)
- Have the second block face you with a ‘6’ (Leave it as it is)
- Rotate the third block until you see a ‘D’ facing you (Rotate 2 times).
Once you have this orientation, the puzzle will be solved and you’ll see a chest appear in the corner. Loot this Chest to get the Rosetta’s Research Map.
Interact with it in your Inventory and you should see a clue for a location marked on a map.
Rosetta Safe Location
The map you found indicates the location of a Rosetta Safe. You can look for it on the Once Human map but that is very tedious.
Instead, you can find a clue for the location in the other Mae’s Diary entry. If you look closely, you’ll see a location mentioned here.
This is the Alternate Reality Research Institute.
Specifically, you want to head to a particular building in this area for the A Family Legacy Quest. We have the exact location shown on the Once Human map below.
Finding Rosetta Safe
Once you arrive at this location, you should see a large brown staircase when you enter the facility. Make sure to go all the way up this staircase in Once Human.
When you reach the top, turn towards the left and you’ll see a few stairs to the left again. Go up these stairs on the left and then turn right.
At the right, you’ll see yet another staircase leading up. Go up this staircase as well.
You will come across two more stairs and make sure you go up them too. Your goal is to reach all the way to the top of the Rosetta building for the A Family Legacy Quest.
Eventually, you’ll come across a room with a Rosetta symbol at the top. This room will be full of enemies so make sure that you clear the room.
After you’ve cleared the room, you’ll see smaller rooms towards the left and right of this room. Go to the one that is the furthest to the right.
Here, you should be able to find the Rosetta Safe. Loot this safe and you’ll be able to complete the A Family Legacy Quest in Once Human.
That’s everything you need to know about completing the A Family Legacy Quest in Once Human. Quite a simple quest once you figure out the location you should be heading towards! You also get a lot of good loot at the end.
There is plenty of other loot to be made in this location as well. Check out our All Alternate Research Reality Crates Location Guide so that you can get them too!
