Starchrom is the primary currency in Once Human. It allows you to purchase a lot of items and also is crucial if you want to progress through the game. So, you’ll want to get as much Starchrom as you can. As a result, many players have tried to find a reliable way to farm it.

In this guide, we’ll show you multiple ways in which you can farm Starchrom reliably. You can select whichever of these methods suit you. As a result, you’ll be able to maximize your weekly gain and progress through the Season. Let’s get into it!

How To Farm Starchrom Guide

For the most part, there isn’t any easy way for you to obtain a lot of Starchrom. This is because the developers have made sure to remove such exploits from the Beta.

However, there are still ways to farm Starchrom and maximize your Starchrom gains. Here are the different methods that you can utilize to get Starchrom in Once Human:

  1. Complete Season Goals and Challenges
  2. Purchase Starchrom Crates with Stellar Planula
  3. Complete Extractor missions at your base
  4. Complete and Redeem Event Rewards.

You’ll also need certain parts alongside Starchrom to craft high tier weapons. Check out our How To Get Special Parts Guide too, so you can make everything you need!

Complete Season Goals and Challenges

Starting off, the first and most simple method of getting Starchrom is by completing Season goals or challenges.

To access these challenges, start by pressing the Esc key to open the pause menu. Here, you want to select the Current Scenario.

When you do so, hit the Seasonal Goals tab at the top of the menu. Here, you’ll see all the different phases for the Season that you are in. Be sure to click on all of them.

You’ll be able to see all the Starchrom that you can get for completing the goals in each of the Phases of the Season. Here is a breakdown of the Starchrom you can get in one Season of Once Human:

  • Phase 1
    • Goal 1: 400 Starchrom
    • Goal 2: 600 Starchrom
    • Goal 3: 1000 Starchrom
  • Phase 2
    • Goal 1: 700 Starchrom
    • Goal 2: 1200 Starchrom
    • Goal 3: 1600 Starchrom
  • Phase 3
    • Goal 1: 1000 Starchrom

As you can see, you can potentially make a lot of Starchrom from these Season Goals in Once Human.

Completing these Goals is not very difficult either. All you need to do is to complete challenges in a particular phase so that you can complete each goal.

Many of these challenges are quite easy as well, such as taking photos. So, we recommend you start with the easy challenges and complete the rest gradually.

You’ll be able to complete all the goals pretty easily this way.

Use Stellar Planula

Another way to get a lot of Starchrom in Once Human is by spending Stellar Planula. Stellar Planula is a currency that a particular NPC vendor uses in the world.

To locate this NPC, look for Traders that have the market icon above their head. You will likely be familiar with some of them, such as Lacey. When you do so, go to the back of the shop or look around.

You’ll find a Trader by the name of Severin with some strange numbers. Some people refer to him as Barcode.

This Trader allows you to purchase items from him in exchange for Stellar Planula. He exclusively only deals with this currency.

You can obtain this currency by completing World Tasks, which are side quests in Once Human. So, refer to your list and try to complete as many as you can. You’ll be able to get Stellar Planula for completing each of them.

You can also find these quests by looking for Blue Exclamation marks on the Once Human map.

After that, return to Severin and go through his menu. You’ll be able to find Starchrom Crates that you can purchase for 100 Stellar Planula. Each Starchrom Crate gives you 500 Starchrom.

We recommend that you get all of the Starchrom Crates from him. There is a limit of 8 Starchrom Crates you can purchase per Season. Starchrom is essential for progressing, so prioritize getting all of them.

If you still have Stellar Planula left, you can get Controllers for Bosses.

Be sure to open the Starchrom Crates from your Inventory. In total, you can get 8000 Starchrom by utilizing this method that rewards you for just playing the game!

Complete Extractor Missions (Territory Purification)

There are Extractor Missions that you can do in Once Human at your base. As part of this mission, you place Eclipse Cortexes into a Stardust Resonant Filter to purify it.

After purification, you receive Starchrom depending on the type and number of Cortex that you placed inside it. However, there is a way in which you can make this process efficient to maximize your Starchrom Gain.

Starting off, you want to use the highest level of Cortex possible, which is Eclipse Cortex Lv 3. This is because this gives you the most Starchrom compared to other Cortex.

Eclipse Cortex Lv 3 in Once Human.

You should use the lower level Cortex to actually make a higher level Cortex. You can do this at the Advanced Synthesis Bench.

Here, you can use multiple Cortex Lv. 1 to make a Lv 2, and multiple Lv 2 to make a Lv 3. So your end goal should be to convert all of them into Lv 3.

This is because you have a weekly Purification limit in Once Human. As a result, using lower level Cortex is terribly inefficient. The best way to maximize Starchrom is by having you and your hive grinding to get Cortex Lv 3.

This is because they give 100 Starchrom each. On the other hand, Lv 2 gives 85 Starchrom each and Lv 1 gives 60 Starchrom Each.

Making Eclipse Cortex Lv 3 in Once Human.

You can get Eclipse Cortex in multiple ways, which are the following in Once Human:

  • Public Crisis Events
  • Clearing Dungeons
  • Claim Silos with Controllers
  • Drop from mini bosses and previous bosses.

So, make sure that you and your Hive are constantly farming to get Cortex Lv 3. Keep in mind that placing these Cortex will mean that you’ll face a more difficult wave of enemies, including a longer defense time and more waves.

Adding multiple Cortex will not change these stats. So, you can Purify a lot of Cortex at the same time, but at a higher risk of potentially losing all of them if your defense fails.

As a result, you’ll want to have turrets and other defenses placed all around your Stardust Resonant Filter to protect it. While it may be harder, the Starchrom you’ll get out of it is more than worth it.

Redeem Event Rewards

In the Beta of Once Human, you were able to get Starchrom rewards for each Event Challenge. However, they seem to have changed this for now for the current event.

So, it is possible they might change it in the future.

However, you can still get Starchrom for the Regular Events. These are simple things you can do like connecting your Discord to your Once Human account and so on.

Additionally, you can also redeem rewards for Global Events. For example, Once Human is currently giving out a 1000 Starchrom Crate for free among rewards for hitting 300,000 Concurrent players.

These rewards are available until August 1st.

So be sure to redeem these and check up on any future Global Events for even more Starchrom!

That’s everything you need to know about farming Starchrom in Once Human. We recommend you utilize all these methods to truly maximize your Starchrom gain. Many of these are pretty simple too, so you should be able to farm it in no time!

Starchrom is very useful if you’re trying to spin for blueprints at a Wish Machine. Did you know that you can even make a powerful Sniper build using the Bingo? It’s all laid out in our Best Sniper Build Guide that you can make with the Starchrom you get.
