Jumping into a completely new game can be daunting as you’ll need to learn a lot of new things. This is especially true if you’re going to a different genre that you usually play. You don’t want to just fumble around the place aimlessly. In Parkour Reborn, there are a lot of mechanics and things you’ll need to know. You can of course learn them on the fly or save time and learn them right now!
In this guide, we’ll show you some tips and tricks to get you beginners started in the game. We’ll go through what you’ll want to do in your first few hours of the game. Now let’s see what we can do!
Complete Beginner’s Guide | Roblox
If you’ve missed it somehow, Parkour Reborn is a Freerunning and Parkour game where there are a lot of challenges and exploration.
You’re given a huge world to run and jump around and doing moves all over the place gives you XP and levels. When you’ve just started though the game can be a bit intimidating, so here are some tips to get you started.
Tutorial
Don’t skip the tutorial of the game! That Tutorial will give you almost everything you’ll need to know about the game. Most of the movement options are also taught there so make sure to remember them and take your time going through them. You’ll need it later!
If you’ve forgotten about some mechanic in the game, then you can go to The Net in the main menu. There, you’ll need to type in “98.411.0/codex/home_gtms” without quotation marks. This will send you to a page that can explain basic movements and even intermediate ones.
Exploring The Map
After completing the tutorial, you’ll want to just explore the game. The map is huge in Parkour Reborn, and you’ll want to get familiar with it.
Go around and check out all the different places and make sure to do moves while you’re doing so. This will passively give you XP to level up and it’s good practice as well.
While exploring, take note of the Time Trials and Sync Spots that you can find throughout the map. They usually shine brightly in places, and you can go to them to activate them. You don’t have to do the Time Trials the moment you see them, just remember where they are for later.
Time Trials
Speaking of Time Trials, if you want to get some levels quickly this is one way of doing it. These challenges are usually trials where you need to go to a certain place as quickly as possible. The quicker you are the better the medal you get in the end. The better the medal the more XP you get!
One of the best newbie-friendly Time Trials is the one that’s called “Glass.” It’s a fairly short distance Time Trial and if you just run towards the finish line, you can easily get the top medal which is under 14 seconds.
If you do it while you’re low level, you’ll probably even get a couple of levels afterwards!
Checkpoints
Another way to get XP is to look for Sync Points or Checkpoints. These are small poles with shining light on top of them. Think of them as your respawn point and if you Sync into them, it’ll set your spawn there. So, if you die or reset, you’ll be sent back to the last Sync Point you’ve activated.
Activating a Sync Point for the first time will reward you with XP. It’s a great way to get more XP as you explore the map and get your bearings.
Respawn Regions
Also known as Terminals or legacy checkpoints, this is an alternate respawn system carried over from the old game.
When you activate them, you can respawn in that area as long as you’re in the general region of that terminal. If you go beyond a region, then you’ll respawn on the last Checkpoint you activated.
Momentum
When you’re running around the place, you might notice that there’s a bar on the top of the screen. That’s your momentum bar and you increase it the more you sprint and move. Having a higher bar will affect a lot of things from how far you can jump to how high you can wall climb.
At lower levels, your Momentum will be capped, and it’ll slowly increase when you level up. You’ll get full momentum when you get to Level 20 so keep that in mind.
Fall Pads
When you’re going around the map, you might notice these large pads on different areas. These are Fall pads and even high-level players might not even know how they actually work.
When you fall on these pads while using the right buttons, you can land on them without taking any damage regardless of height.
To use these pads, you’ll want to jump onto them while holding the SHIFT and SPACE keys. Then when you’re about to land, release the keys and then press the SHIFT key.
If you time it right, you’ll land on them without taking any damage. If you miss your timing, you’ll go splat!
This is all the information you’ll need to get started in Parkour Reborn. Now, go out there and enjoy the game!
