In Pet Simulator 99, you start off with a basic companion and grind your way through all kinds of areas to collect as many pets as you can.
While the game itself is fairly straightforward, there are a ton of secrets and significant boosts hidden all around the game.
With some of them being locked behind some steps that you probably won’t be able to figure out accidentally. Here is a guide to all of them!
All Hidden Secrets Guide
While some of these “secrets” aren’t exactly hidden, they are incredibly useful, and you may not be fully aware of their existence.
In this guide, we’ll be covering both hidden locations and mere item drops that are incredibly rare. Without further ado, let’s get started!
Stairway to Heaven
First up is the Stairway to Heaven, which is a bit tricky to get into, especially if you have no idea that it exists in the first place.
In order to get there, you must either go to this corner in the VIP section at spawn and fall through the map, or fail an obstacle course on purpose and press the home button as you respawn.
It is said that for every set of stairs that you climb in this seemingly endless path, there is a small chance that the claim area for the secret Huge Angel Dog will spawn.
Although it is very rare, and nobody knows how long it’ll take on average to get one.
Minigame Rewards
Although not exactly a secret in that it isn’t hidden, items such as the Golden Shovel, Golden Watering Can, and Midas Touch may drop from all the minigames scattered across the map, including obstacle courses.
The drop rate for these is unknown, so it will take a lot of grinding to get them if you ever try to farm the minigames for each item.
Preston’s Shop
In Area 35, the Safari zone, there is a tunnel to the side that is hiding Preston’s Shop. Trying to talk to Preston will result in a pop up screen asking for a super secret code.
As of writing this, nobody knows what the code he is looking for is or if it has even been implemented yet, so keep an eye out for future updates.
Behind the shop, if you use free camera mode, you will also see a silly little secret sign saying, “Welcome to Ohio”.
Nametag Easter Egg
There is another silly secret involving the Nametag item. If you check its description, it states that you should not name your pet “Joe”.
If you don’t listen to this warning, your pet will instead get the name “Joe Mama”.
Locked or Empty Areas
All around the map, you will likely come across blocked off areas or doors that currently do nothing, such as those in the Treehouse and Fairytale Castle.
If you interact with them, you will get messages such as “Coming soon”, which implies that the developers will be adding new content into them in future updates.
Pyramid Obstacle Course
Near the end of the Pyramid obstacle course, you will come across a corner with a ladder leading down to a dead end.
The developers may add something to this in the future, though at the moment, it’s just a neat little spot tucked away in the side.
Huge Pet Locations
You may also be unaware that certain activities have a chance of dropping a huge pet. One such activity is fishing.
Don’t forget to upgrade your rod if you can afford it, as this will improve your chances of getting a Huge Poseidon pet.
The Chest Rush minigame in Area 45, which is the Lava Forest, also has a chance of dropping a Huge Fire Horse at an unknown drop rate.
In this zone, there is a chance of getting the huge pet by breaking chests, and to increase your drop chance, make sure to equip and upgrade your Treasure Hunter enchants.
Strong Enchantments
Speaking of enchants, there are certain, extremely useful ones that you can get from completing various achievements.
One of these is the Huge Hunter enchant, which requires you to open 750,000 eggs. This item will increase your chances of hatching a huge pet by 25%.
Hatching 2,000 shiny pets will also get you the Shiny Hunter enchant. This will boost your chances of hatching a shiny pet by up to 60%.
Shiny Relics
On the topic of shiny pets, there are shiny relics scattered all throughout the map that will further increase your chances of hatching them.
Although we already have a guide on how you can get all shiny relics, a recent update added five new ones in the following locations:
- Area 51 – Samurai Village
- Area 52 – Bamboo Forest
- Area 54 – Flower Garden
- Area 56 – Fairytale Castle
The fifth and last one is in a hidden spot within the Fairy Castle, which is the 58th area and should not be confused with the Fairytale Castle.
Simply run through the water to the right of the castle in this location and jump on top of the rocks to your left to get up there.
Sled Race
While not exactly a secret, the Sled Race minigame can be found in one corner of Ski Town, the 40th area of the game.
It is right above the ski lift that you can ride, and it has no cooldown, making it great for people who want to farm its rewards.
And that’s pretty much it for this guide in Pet Simulator 99. More new secrets are likely doing to be added as the game gets updated, but for now, these are most of the known ones that have currently been implemented!
