With new updates come new content and new changes but sometimes those changes aren’t for the better. Updates also come with bugs and sometimes changes to the game that the general player base doesn’t like.
This can include nerfs that can affect the game’s economy like in Pet Simulator 99. The new update 5 has nerfed a few things and introduced new bugs as well.
In this guide, we’ll show you why the prices are plummeting in the game as well as show you all the nerfs the developers made. Now, let’s see what’s wrong with update 5!
All Nerfs & Price Plummeting in Update 5
There is no one main reason for the prices plummeting in Pet Simulator 99. Instead, it’s a combination of several problems that have soured the mood of the player base. The new Update 5 isn’t the smoothest one there is. Here are all the bugs, glitches, nerfs, and problems players are facing right now.
New Clan Battle
There is a new clan battle in the game and this time the way you fight is by collecting unique pets. Each pet counts as one unique pet regardless of the number in the stack. This sounds good on paper since clans would be working on getting a variety of pets.
The problem lies with huge pets that are the same but don’t stack. They all count as one pet making the current clan battle more for high-paying players.
You can easily just pay money to get huge pets through the different ways the game offers which counts to the unique pets you have. This has soured the view of the players who now see this as more of a Pay-to-win clan battle.
Glitching Spawns
With the recent update 5 came big issues with spawning breakables in general. From slow spawning to lag, and sometimes they just don’t spawn for a few minutes. This was especially true with the last areas of the game where you’re supposed to get a lot of cool stuff.
Again the developers have stated that they’re working on a fix for these problems so we’ll just need to wait and see.
Hard Missions
Another reason why players are starting to complain is because the missions in the game were too difficult.
The most egregious example is where you’ll need to break Diamond Breakables which was almost impossible for F2P players. Even players who had the VIP diamond farm would take a long time doing it.
The developers have stated that they will be changing most of the missions in the game to make them easier and less grindy. We’ll have to see if those changes will be implemented.
Price Changes
The bugs and the difficulty of spawning diamond breakables in the game have affected item prices. Enchantments like Lucky Eggs VII or Diamonds VII have gone down to half price as more players are having trouble using them.
Not only that, but some enchantments are currently bugged like the Lucky Block. It used to spawn Lucky blocks but right now it doesn’t. This means it removes a breakable that was supposed to spawn and instead of replacing it with a Lucky block you get nothing!
The recent update has also changed the spawn rate and chances of charm stones lowering the prices across the board. This is a great time to get certain ones like the Royalty Charm which is one of the best charms. There’s also the Strength charm which is great for upgrading huge pets.
Nerfed Events
In the previous update, the Pinata event was a great way to get gifts in the game. That’s because when you open it giant goodie bag usually gives you around 20 gifts. The developers thought this was too much and nerfed the event to the ground. Now you can only get around 6 gifts.
Now, most of the players don’t think the event is worth doing as you can get more gifts doing other things. These nerfs have also hit the Lucky Block and Chest Run events as players have noticed reduced rewards and drops.
Auto Hatch Not Working & Lag
If you’ve played through the update and noticed that there’s something wrong with the Auto-hatch then you’re not alone.
There have been reports by multiple users of the Auto-Hatch just suddenly stop working in the middle of using it. This means players who leave the game running go back with the thing not hatching anything!
There have also been general reports of lag in the new update which the developers have promised to fix. Auto-hatching is something that they will surely do since it’s an integral part of the game.
Those are the main reasons why the prices are plummeting in Update 5 of Pet Simulator 99. We’ll have to wait and see if any of these problems are fixed!
