In Pet Simulator 99‘s newest Update 5, there are the additions of secret rooms in different locations around the world map. To unlock these rooms, you will need to obtain a special key type called the Secret Keys. In the new update, there are a total of 3 different Secret Rooms to can be unlocked.
Each different Secret Room will grant you different rewards and some of them can rely more on RNG than other rooms. In this guide, we will compare the Secret Rooms so you know which Rooms you should spend your Keys on.
Best Door To Open Using Secret Key – Update 5
Secret Rooms are Rooms that you can unlock using Secret Keys. To receive Secret Keys, you will need to complete your Third Rebirth. Upon doing it, you will receive Keys given by the system.
You will also receive many other useful perks from Rebirthing. They are the Index Rewards, Slingy, Pet Strength, Pet Teams, and Enchant Loadouts.
Before you do your Third Rebirth, make sure that you have already got to the last Area and hatched the best eggs. Having the best pets lets you come back to the highest Area more quickly and easily.
Treehouse Merchant – Arena 15 (Enchanted Forest)
The first Secret Room is the Treehouse Merchant‘s Room in Area 15 – Enchanted Forest. You’ll want to go to the door under the huge purple tree and unlock the Room.
This is the best Secret Room for players who do not want to have a random chance of getting an item. The Treehouse Merchant will give you a guaranteed chance of getting items since you know what you are getting from the shop.
Some of the items are useless, so make sure that you only buy the most important items. Items like the Rainbow Poop won’t give your pets any effects, so there is no point in obtaining them,
General Store – Area 33 (Wild West)
The second Secret Room is at Area 33 – Wild West. You can also unlock the Secret Room there with a Secret Key. On the right side, you will find the General Store.
After going inside, you will see three different Golden Chests that you can choose from. When you select one chest, you will receive a random reward.
This is one of the more random Secret Rooms since you’ll randomly be getting either a useful item or a useless item. If you are looking for a more guaranteed method, avoid unlocking this one first.
Castle Door – Area 58 (Ferry Castle)
The last Secret Room is at Area 58 – Ferry Castle. Once you have teleported there, look to your right and you’ll see the Castle’s Door which you can unlock using the Secret Key.
Inside, there is the Crystal Key Wheel. This Wheel will randomly give you a full Crystal Key, The Bottom Key, or the Top Part of the Key.
This is a room that you can also consider unlocking first since it gives you parts of the Crystal Key that can be quite useful.
If you get unlucky, you can always sell the parts instead of the Full Key to other players using the Trading Plaza.
Door in Spawn (?)
Finally, there is also the Secret Scavenger Hunt challenge that may be coming out. To the right of Area 1, near Spawn, there is this Purple Building that you can see in the image down below.
For now, you can only interact with the Door by Pressing E to knock it. However, nothing will happen. According to the rumors, it can be a Scavenger Hunt event.
It is only a speculation and we’ll still have to wait for longer to eventually know what’s behind the door. Regardless of what it’s going to be, at least we can be getting something good from it!

Which Door is the best?
That’s all the three different Secret Rooms that we’re getting in Update 5! Depending on your personal preference, you’ll want to go for the right room. If you want to play safe, go with the first one. On the contrary, if you want to rely more on the factor of luck, go with the third, or even the second one.
