Pikmin 4 is the newest entry to the Pikmin franchise, and people all over the world are having fun and playing the game. However, many might find the game incredibly hard and confusing to play. Not to worry, as newcomers can find solace in the fact that guides exist to help them navigate through sections of the game with ease. In this guide, I will be showing you how to complete the 9th Story: Turf Turmoil, which requires you to defeat all of the creatures that are in the level.
9th Story: Turf Turmoil Guide
When the level starts, you will find one Female Sheargrub to your left. Use your Pikmins to attack the enemy and defeat it.
Not far from the last Female Sheargrub, there is another one that you can find next to a Crystal Wall. Again, use your Pikmins to defeat the enemy.
After defeating the enemy, go to the Crystal Wall and throw your Pikmins at it in order to break open the wall.
Once the Crystal Wall is demolished, go through it and you will find a purple flower. Throw at least 5 Pikmins into the flower to get 5 Purple Pikmins, which are all stronger than the Rock Pikmins.
Make sure to pluck the Purple Pikmins from the ground, because you won’t get them otherwise.
There’s also some Rock Pikmins that you can pluck out here, which is useful as the more Pikmins you have, the better.
You can see a Porquillion that has spikes all around it near the area where you got the Rock Pikmins. This one is dangerous as the spikes it has can be shot out and hurt you. Make sure to move around as much as you can so its aim can be confused. Use your Pikmins to defeat this enemy, which should be your third enemy by now.
After defeating the third enemy, look behind you and you should find a Crystal Wall. Once again, use your Pikmins and throw them at it in order to break open the wall.
Behind the wall, you’ll find another purple flower. Throw 5 Rock Pikmins inside it again to get more Purple Pikmins. Remember to pluck them out first before you continue.
Continue forward and you will find the fourth enemy, which is a Burrowing Snagret that burrows out of the ground. You will need to roam around the area to avoid getting hit, as staying in one place will guarantee that you get hit. Remember to tackle the giant bird and throw Pikmins at it in order to do damage.
Continuing forward after defeating the giant bird, you will find another purple flower. Same as before, throw 5 Rock Pikmins and pluck out the Purple Pikmins.
In the next area, you will find the fifth enemy, a Foolix, which is some kind of gelatinous monster. It is protected by the slime around it, but it has its tail exposed. Use your Oatchi to pull the core out of the slime. Once it is exposed, you will have to throw every Pikmin you have at it to cause damage until the slime comes back and reforms around the core. You’ll have to do this at least two or three times.
Now, after successfully defeating all of the other enemies, you will then have to go to the center of the room and fight the last enemy, a Sovereign Bulblax. Be careful, as the Sovereign Bulblax will unleash a loud scream that will disorient and scare your Pikmins into running around. Once the scream is done, make sure to summon them back to you and throw them at the last enemy as fast as you can. Once the last enemy is defeated, you have successfully completed the level.
