Pikmin 4 – How to Open the Bunker in Hero’s Hideaway | Bunker Code Solution

Pikmin 4 is the latest installment in the Pikmin franchise. Opening the Bunker in Hero’s Hideaway is part of the main mission of Rescuing Olimar. Players are required to open a bunker which is technically a safe with a three-number code. The codes are represented by cards which you’ll have to find. If you’re having a hard time solving the bunker, don’t worry. This guide will show you how to open the Bunker in Hero’s Hideaway.

How to Find Cards

Before entering the code, players require three cards, each of which corresponds to one of the dials on the bunker. Here’s everything you need to do to get all the right cards.

First Card

The first card can be found on the stairs towards the right side of the map, as shown in the image below.

To get to the stairs, the first step to take is to get on top of the cabinet that is towards the left of where the bunker entrance is. You can climb this cabinet using the books that are scattered around on the floor.

Once on top of the cabinet, take the Railing that connects this to the stairs, and you will be able to acquire the first card needed to open the bunker.

Second Card

The second card can be found near the Blackboard which is located at the beginning of the Hero’s Hideaway area, as seen in the map image below.

Getting this card is simple and involves using your dog Otachi’s charge ability. This ability will allow you to knock the Dart off the board, and you will be able to pick it up. The dart will contain the second card required. 

Third Card

The third and final card required to open the bunker is the most difficult one to get. It can be found at the location highlighted on the map below.

The first step is to get on the table that is towards the North of the location. For this, jump down from the table the Bunket is on and head towards the pipe indicated in the image below. While going towards this pipe, beware of the dog guarding the place as it will attempt to eat your Pikmin to try to defeat it to avoid trouble.

After going through the pipe, use the Railing to get on top of the table, and from there, you can proceed to the next step.

Once on the table, you will see a Yellow button. Using any Pikmin, hit this button to activate the fan so that you can bring Otachi up on the table as he is required in order to proceed.

Now proceed to the other end of the table, where you will find an unactivated fan next to the Blue button. Press the button using a Pikmin to activate the fan and use it to get to the other fan you can spot in the distance.

Using the second fan, you can jump to the steps on which the final keycard is present. Pick this up and head back to the bunker entrance to unlock it.

How to Unlock Bunker

At the entrance of the bunker, you can unlock the door using the code that you can see towards the right side of your screen. In our case, the code was 7 of Hearts, 9 of Diamonds, and 6 of Clubs, so we used it to open the door.

To adjust the number using the dial, simply hit it once with a Pikmin. Every time a Pikmin hits the dial, the number increases by one, so keep that in mind and do not spam all the Pikmin at the dial to reach the desired number quickly.
