Complete Beginner’s Guide
Project Baki III is an anime fighting game based on Baki the Grappler/Grappler Baki.
When you first start playing the game, you are assigned to a Street Fighting style. Trainers can be found all over the map, and they will teach you other fighting techniques and styles.
At some point, you can acquire more powerful combat skills and abilities as your strength, agility, intellect, and durability increase.
In this Beginner’s Guide, we are going to talk about everything you need to know, but before we begin, we want to provide you with the newest codes available in the game to help you get started.

Getting Started
First things first, we should talk about the basics of the game. The things we are going to explain in this section will help you understand the game as a beginner. Every player should know these few things before getting into anything else.
- To increase your stats, there are several methods you can use to train. These are: Working out in the gym, Doing Jobs/Quests, Fighting Bosses/Enemies, and Shadowboxing.
- You need to pay yen for a gym membership in order to use the mats and bags at the gym.
- You have to buy and consume food in order to consume more calories. You can purchase food from Shawn’s Brazillian Food or from hotdog and ice cream stands.
- The currency used to buy food is the yen. This is acquired by engaging in combat with opponents or performing tasks like being a restaurant cashier, market cashier, forest watcher, etc.
- When using your moves, there is a global cooldown that lasts for roughly 4 seconds before you can use another one. After using a move, you can initiate an M1 combo.
- When you block three of your opponent’s light attacks, they will become momentarily stunned.
- Taunts that apply damage reduction or disable skills will not work on bosses; this is included to avoid making grinding easier with a group or solo.
Shadow Boxing
Upon beginning the game, your first wish will probably be progressing in the game. To do that, there are some methods that you can use.
These methods speed up your progress and help you level up in the game. We are talking about using Shadow Boxing in the game. Your options when doing this are:
- Shadow Boxing: You can meditate while sitting on a mat and battle an internal representation of yourself. Shadowboxing can be found in the Tokyo Dome for Level 3, as well as in the dojo in the forest.
- AFK Shadow Boxing: This method enables you to do the Shadow Boxing while you are not actively playing the game. It is slower than the Shadow Boxing, but it is stable and automatic.
- It can be a great choice for those who want to progress in the game even when they do not have time to play it.
- Self-Reflection Shadow Boxing: You can meditate while fighting two waves of multiple shadows of yourself in your mind by sitting on a mat. This can be found at City 2 Park.
As a beginner, we can say that AFK Shadow Boxing is a good option to try. As you spend time in this AFK mode, you receive rewards based on your user type. Your rewards will be different if you are a premium in the game.
Non-Premium Rewards:
- Experience every 1 minute (Scales with Level ~ Approximately 1 Level per hour).
- Random Reward every 30 minutes (Food, Protein Shake, Free Skill Point Reset).
Premium Rewards:
- Experience every 1 minute (Scales with Level ~ Approximately 2 Levels per hour).
- Random Reward every 30 minutes (Food, Protein Shake, Free Color Reroll).
- Random Reward every 1 hour (Top-Tier Food, Free Skill Point Reset, Free Color Reroll).
If you want to try the other Shadow Boxing techniques as well, you are going to need to learn how to combat in the game. We advise you to go to the GYM and get 10 Protein Shakes before you proceed to train your Shadow Boxing.
You are going to need to pay 5000 Yen to be able to purchase it, but it will not be a problem if you do this after using the Codes we provided before.
NOTE: Protein Shakes grants a 1.5 EXP boost from all sources for 10 minutes.
After you have bought the Protein Shakes, go to the DoJo in the forest and start the Shadow Boxing. Now, when you get inside this training, you are going to need to fight NPCs.
When fighting most NPCs, the best strategy is to combo them, run away, then move forward and M1 them as they approach. Ideally, you want the NPCs to approach you, and not run; this makes it easier to land hits.
Fighting Styles
We advise you to repeat the Shadow Boxing techniques until you reach level 100. After that, you can move on and choose a new fighting style for yourself. There are 68 styles in total that you can get in the game.
Since this number is pretty high, it might be difficult for you to check out each one of them. For this reason, we are going to talk about the top five fighting styles to give you an idea about which ones you can go for.
- Kung Fu Fighting Style: The trainer of Kung Fu is FlapPrime. You can find him near City Street 2, to the left of the red apartment building.
- You should meet the following requirements to get this Fighting Style: 25 Strength, 15 Durability, 25 Agility, 15 Intellect, and Level 20.
- Hand Pocket Fighting Style: The trainer is Shobun Ron. He is located beside the Square Apartment behind Shawn’s Brazilian Restaurant.
- You should meet the following requirements to get this Fighting Style: 105 Strength, 95 Durability, 95 Agility, 45 Intellect, and Level 85.
- Sumo Fighting Style: This style’s trainer is Vice. You can locate him standing close to the closest building to the forest entrance, just down the road from Spade’s Gym.
- You should meet the following requirements to get this Fighting Style: 25 Strength, 50 Durability, 10 Agility, 15 Intellect, and Level 20.
- Karate Fighting Style: The Trainer is Doppo Orochi. You can find him standing at the side of a building between the Gym and Arena.
- You should meet the following requirements to get this Fighting Style: 30 Strength, 25 Durability, 10 Agility, 15 Intellect, and Level 20.
- Kickboxing Fighting Style: The trainer of this style is Jonah. You can find him on the basketball court.
- You should meet the following requirements to get this Fighting Style: 75 Strength, 25 Durability, 75 Agility, 25 Intellect, and Level 50.
Tokyo Dome / Underground Arena
The Tokyo Dome is directly behind the gym. It is the next area you should head to after passing level 100. There, you can enter the Shadow Boxing level 3. You are going to fight against an NPC called Iron Michael there.
The trick you should use when battling this NPC is doing the combo, then dashing back until he gets into the rage mode. When he is in rage mode, this NPC will receive no stun. After that just spam your moves and you are going to kill him pretty easily.
NOTE: Make sure to get a protein shake boost before doing that, it will make everything much faster and easier.
Yasha Ape Boss
Once you reach level 200, you are going to need to access the Suburbs. You can go there by spawning at City Street 1 and taking a left from that point. However, you should first defeat a boss named Yasha Ape to be able to gain access to this area.
Yasha Ape is located in the cave. We do not recommend you to go after this boss alone as a beginner. You should try to find some other players to join you, or else, it might be too difficult to defeat him.
To give you a little bit of information about this boss, we are going to talk about his abilities. The Yasha Ape has 3 abilities he can use on you in the battle.
- Ground Pound: The Yasha Ape deals low-to-medium damage while knocking players up with a fist smash.
- Roar: With a roar, the Yasha Ape stuns players in close proximity and deals low-to-medium damage.
- Primal Rage: When its health falls below 30%, the Yasha Ape will roar and go into a rage, dealing more damage and taking on a red aura.
Additional Information: There is a 100% chance that the player who damages Yasha Ape first will get the Yasha Ape Head.
The Suburbs
Now that you have access to the Suburbs, you should go there and complete the Yujiro Shadow Boxing. Before doing that, we recommend you get the Hand Pocket Fighting Style. This style is very useful for defeating the low-level NPCs.
You are going to need to keep battling the Shadow Yujiro Boss to advance more in the game. When facing this boss, the best strategy is to perform the combo and then quickly retreat.
Simply keep making the same moves after that, and you should have no trouble killing him. It is pretty similar to Iron Michael.
