R.E.P.O. is a fast-paced extraction game where your goal is to recover and transport valuable items while surviving the creepy monsters lurking around. Understanding which items are worth prioritizing can make the difference between a successful extraction and a total loss. My guide categorizes items based on their size, fragility, and effectiveness in taking down monsters. While most valuable items are meant for extraction, some can be used as makeshift or improvised weapons thanks to the game’s physics and mechanics (Yes, bonk that Headman with the Ocarina). Knowing which items can stun or damage enemies will greatly increase your chances of making it to the next level. I’m here to help you out with that!
NOTE: If you’re looking for a guide on shop-bought items in R.E.P.O., like drones, throwables, weapons, and even upgrades, I’ve got a whole separate guide for that. Gotta keep things organized, right? Feel free to check it out! Also, make sure to check out our complete items and upgrades guide for R.E.P.O.!
Best Valuable Items Guide and Their Values + Best Items To Fight With
While R.E.P.O. provides weapons and tools, many valuable items you find pretty much everywhere can also serve as improvised weapons.
- Fragile Items: Typically unsuitable for combat, as they break easily.
- Durable and Tanky Items: Good for bashing enemies, provided they can be lifted.
- Heavier Items: Can deal significant damage but are harder to maneuver effectively; need Strength upgrades or multiple players moving them.
Some items, like explosives, provide additional strategic benefits when used correctly.

To make my guide easier to navigate, I’ve divided items into three size categories:
- Small Items: Lightweight and easy to carry but often fragile.
- Medium Items: Larger and sometimes more durable, requiring better maneuvering.
- Large Items: Bulky and difficult to transport, often needing multiple players or Strength Upgrades.
Additionally, items have been ranked based on four factors:
- Value ($): How much money they add to your extraction quota; this means that even if a weapon can be used well as a weapon, you still have to think it through because of its value.
- Fragility: Determines how easily an item breaks (since value goes down depending on the item’s condition). Fragile items should be handled with extreme care and generally not used as a weapon.
- Effectiveness: How well an item functions as a weapon.
- Notes: Important details about each item’s mechanics, special effects, or unique interactions.

Small Items
Small items are easy to carry, quick to maneuver, and often found in tight spaces like drawers, shelves, and cabinets. However, many of them are incredibly fragile, meaning a single misstep can cost you a lot of money. If you’re being chased, dropping these isn’t always an option since they’ll likely shatter instantly. Some small valuables, though, have surprising durability and can be used to smack enemies if you’re in a pinch.
Best Small Valuable Items to use as Weapons:
- Crown, Emerald Bracelet, Pocket Watch, or Ocarina

Item | Value ($) | Fragility | Effectiveness | Notes |
---|---|---|---|---|
Small Vase | 1,600 | Very Fragile | Poor | Breaks easily |
Big Vase | 2,500 | Very Fragile | Poor | Same as 600 Vase but more valuable |
Book (Academy) | 2,000 | Moderate | Poor | Does not stun, can attack if unlocked, can be deactivated in C.A.R.T. (Academy exclusive) |
Bonsai Tree | 1,000 | Semi-Fragile | Poor | Has an interesting “explosion” animation but that’s about it |
Uranium Plate | 2,900 | Super Fragile | Poor | Breaks instantly |
Uranium Cup | 1,900 | Super Fragile | Poor | Breaks instantly |
Diamond | 2,200 | Surprisingly Fragile | Poor | Hard when bonking but shatters easily when dropped |
Hard Drive (Arctic) | 2,200 | Fairly Fragile | Poor | Exclusive to Arctic map |
Pocket Watch | 500 | Durable | Decent | Good for spamming the “scroll with mouse forward and away” technique |
Emerald Bracelet | 600 | Durable | Good | Can be used against small enemies |
Ocarina | 600 | Durable | Good | Surprisingly sturdy used similarly to the Emerald Bracelet & Pocket Watch |
Crown | 600 | Durable | Good | Effective for bopping small enemies |
Little Doll | 500 | Durable | Decent | Stuns small enemies |
Gem Box | 1,000 | Not Very Fragile | Good | Useful against small enemies |
Cash | 600 | Surprisingly Not Fragile | Decent | Can be thrown for distraction (and making it rain!) |
Globe | 1,700 | Hardy | Poor | Only stuns small enemies |
Ship in a Bottle | 4,200 | Semi-Fragile | Poor | It won’t instantly break but expect the value to come down quickly as you use it |
Trophy | 2,800 | Durable | Decent | Can kill small enemies |
Sample (Arctic) | 2,200 | Fragile | Poor | Exclusive to Arctic map |
Love Potion (Academy) | 2,800 | Moderate | Poor | Triggers red “love-eye” effect and voice lines (Academy exclusive) |
Wind-Up Monkey | 1,000 | Fragile | Poor | Occasionally claps its cymbals (I’m not sure what triggers this; might be nearby monsters which is a good mechanic if ever) |
Laptop (Arctic) | 2,100 | Fragile | Poor | Arctic exclusive |
Wizard Power Crystal | 2,300 | Semi-Fragile | Good | Explodes when durability reaches zero |
Ice Saw (Arctic) | 4.300 | Not Fragile | Moderate | It’s quite difficult to use, but it can deal damage (Sounds stronger than it is). Be careful since it stays active even after being dropped sometimes. |
Wind-Up Frog | 1,000 | Not Fragile | Poor | Probably best used to distract enemies. Yeah, it actually got me killed once. I was down to 1 HP, it bounced right into me and finished the job. Definitely think twice before carrying it around unless you want to risk getting KO’d by a freaking toy. |
Music Box | 4,300 | Moderate | Poor | Makes you dance, can be flipped upside down to prevent its effect |
Medium Valuable Items
Medium items strike a balance between size, weight, and usability. They’re often too large to stash easily but don’t require extra Strength Upgrades to carry. Most of these actually make excellent weapons, especially if they have just enough weight behind them. Others, like the Propare Tank, have unique effects that can work to your advantage. If you don’t want to risk breaking fragile items, medium-sized valuables are often a safer bet for extraction.
Best Medium Valuable Items to use as Weapons:
- Propane Tank, Goblin Head, Gramophone, Clown, Sample Cooler, Large Red Potion, Hazardous Vials, Desktop Computer, Wizard Staff, Flamethrower, Rhino Statue, Guitar

Item | Value ($) | Fragility | Effectiveness | Notes |
Propane Tank | 4,300 | Durable | Excellent | Cracking it causes fire and then it explodes upon depletion. You can use the flame long enough to kill enemies and stuck lock them, but it won’t kill Trudge |
3D Printer | 6,100 | Medium | Decent | Can be used as a weapon but mainly valuable; hard to move with zero Strength, so you won’t be able to use this as a weapon effectively without an upgrade |
Hazardous Vials | 2,700 | Durable | Good | I use it frequently as a weapon; not fragile, deals good damage and it’s not hard to move with zero Strength |
Clown | 2,300 | High Durability | Good | Honking its nose three times makes it play a noise and then triggers a 250-damage explosion (small AOE) |
Large Red Potion | 4,100 | Very durable | Excellent | It’s one of my personal favorites; fairly durable and slightly hard to move without Strength but if you give it a “wrecking ball” motion, which you should do with all the heavier stuff in the game, you can bang them repeatedly (stun lock) |
Desktop Computer | 2,800 | Tanky | Good | Great for bashing enemies (I wouldn’t do this on my computer though) |
Fan | Varies | Durable | Decent | Blows objects/enemies, can knock down user if misused Doesn’t stun any non-small enemies in impact |
Wizard Staff | 24,000 | Moderate | Excellent | Fires a laser after banging the tip of the staff into the ground, does 10 damage per tick, good weapon but has high value |
Hazardous Container | 4,100 | Durable | Good | Deals good damage but it’s hard to move without Strength |
Flamethrower | 4,200 | Useful especially vs ducks, just hold grab it by the red button so you can reliably aim it; doesn’t stun lock larger enemies. Oh, and a word of caution: this bad boy activates when it takes damage, so handle it like you’re holding a live grenade… because, well, you kinda are. | ||
Sample | 2,300 | Fragile | Poor | Not used as a weapon |
Goblin Head (Magic Stage) | 2,100 | Durable | Excellent | (Magic Stage exclusive) Fairly tanky item, but slightly on the heavier side. |
Gramophone | 2,700 | Durable | Excellent | Not heavy; can knock down the Trudge |
Hourglass | 5,600 | Not sure how you can destroy it | Poor | I’m not sure how you can hit an enemy with this; everything slows down when someone is holding it |
Radio | 2,300 | Durable | Good | Sometimes, it plays some music but I’m not sure what triggers it; can stun lock large enemies. |
Guitar | 3,600 | Slightly Heavy | Good | Can be used as a melee weapon, and play some music, of course. |
Rhino Statue | 3,900 | Durable | Good | Looks fragile but is quite strong |
Sample Cooler | 4,100 | Very Durable | Excellent | One of the best weapons |
Doll | Varies | Moderate | Decent | Can stun lock enemies, but the moment you pick it up, it starts shrieking and thrashing. It’ll knock you to the ground if you’re not careful, dealing damage in the process. |
Large Valuable Items
Large valuables where things get tricky. These are often high-value, high-risk valuables that demand teamwork or Strength Upgrades to move effectively. Moving them through staircases, tight doorways, or past aggressive enemies requires careful planning. While most of these aren’t ideal for combat due to their unwieldy size, a few can be weaponized if you’re strong enough. If you’re playing solo, consider using drones or other mechanics to assist with extraction.
Best Large Valuable Items to use as Weapons:
- Explosive Barrel, Frozen Items (if you have enough Strength to lift them), Greatsword, and Large Wizard Staff

Item | Value ($) | Fragility | Effectiveness | Notes |
Television | 7,300 | Not too Fragile | Poor | Can turn on; needs +1 Strength or 2 players. |
Dinosaur Statue | 25,000 | Extremely Fragile | Poor | Highly valuable but breaks easily; 1 person can lift it with +1 Strength |
Wizard Cube | 10,500 | Durable | Poor | Heavy but you can push it around, best extracted immediately |
Explosive Barrel | 11,500 | Durable | Excellent | Can be lifted with +1 Strength and even used as a weapon, explodes upon depletion |
Big Vase | 6,900 | Very Fragile | Poor | Needs +1 Strength or 2 players to lift it |
Animal Crate | 18,000 (Not sure) | Durable | Poor | Keep it upright, if it tips over, whatever’s inside will start freaking out until it explodes. Now, if you want to set it straight, you’ll need to grab it, hold right-click, and aggressively yank your mouse to adjust the purple frame. |
Science Station (Arctic) | 22,000 | Tanky | Poor | If you can lift it, you can use it as a weapon |
Frozen Weapon | 10,000 | Unknown | Moderate | You can move this around with +1 Strength and it slides around; you won’t be able to lift it up though. |
Big Frozen Skeleton | 10,800 | Unknown | Poor | You can move this around with +1 Strength and it slides around; you won’t be able to lift it up though. |
Painting | 21,000 | Fragile | Poor | Painting of the devs, maybe? Can be moved with +1 Strength but delicate |
Greatsword (Wizard World) | 11,400 | Durable | Excellent | You can easily move it around to smack enemies with +1 Strength (Wizard World exclusive) |
Wizard Staff (Large) | 19,000 | Moderate | Excellent | Shoots a laser if the tip bangs the ground; easily used with +2 Strength. |
Harp | 25,000 | Durable | Poor | Can be played similar to the Guitar |
Piano | 37,000 | Durable | Poor | You can play it as well; cumbersome and needs multiple players to extract |
Golden Human Statue | 24,900 | Durable | Poor | Can be lifted easily with +1 Strength; fairly valuable |
Griffin Statue | 37,700 | Durable | Poor | Hard to move around alone with +4 Strength; needs multiple players |
Dinosaur Skeleton | 21400 | Durable | Poor | Massive and valuable |
Grandfather Clock | 23,500 | Durable | Poor | Chimes get progressively louder, drawing enemies; needs +2 Strength to lift. |
Additional Tips on Using Valuable Items as Weapons
If you want to stay alive and keep your loot intact, it’s a good habit to always have a solid weapon nearby. Items like the Clown and Propane Tank each have their quirks, some explode, some burn, but all are great for dealing with threats. Personally, I like to leave one of them (the good ones to use as weapons) in a central room where my team is looting, so we always have something on hand when things go south.
Another approach? Carry one around on patrol. I love being the designated basher, ready to take out anything that dares to creep too close. And if you’re worried about bigger weapons being too clunky, don’t underestimate the power of small but sturdy valuables like the Crown, Emerald Bracelet, Pocket Watch, or Ocarina. They’re reliable for dealing with smaller enemies and can mean the difference between a clean escape and a chaotic scramble. Getting into the habit of keeping one of these handy makes sure that you’re never caught defenseless when danger strikes.

Wrap-Up
Mastering R.E.P.O. means more than just grabbing the highest-value items, you need to balance your extraction with survival. By understanding the size, durability, and combat effectiveness of each item, you can make better split-second decisions that could mean the difference between a successful run and a costly failure.
Also, regarding the “cursed/haunted items”, like the TV, Monkey, Radio, Record Player, and Frog, it seems like there’s some kind of hidden trigger that causes them to activate, making your screen glitch and playing a “scare” sound effect. From what I’ve seen (and what others have mentioned), this activation doesn’t just spook you, it also attracts or even spawns enemies near you.
I’ve also noticed that spooky music starts playing when enemies are nearby, either because they just spawned in or they’re actively pathing toward you. I’m really curious about them, so if you know exactly how they work, drop a comment and let me know!
