Radiant Residents is a multiplayer horror experience inspired by the hit indie game 60 Seconds. With an atomic bomb dropping, you’re given a whole minute to run around the house and gather items before you’re forced to run into a bunker and try to survive for as long as you can. With that in mind, what are these items and what do they do?
Updated Items Guide
First, it should be noted that there are three different categories of items: Regular, Rare, and Special. Regular items can be obtained both during and after the 60-seconds section, which is when you scramble around the house after the intro.
Rare items are similar to regular ones, but they come in fewer quantities. On the other hand, those that are classified as Special are only obtainable during the 60-seconds section of the game.
Regular Items
- Canned Beans – This is currently the only food item in the game and is essential to your survival as it is used to replenish your hunger.
- Water Bottle – Similar to the canned beans, this item is important to your survival as it keeps your thirst levels in check.
- Soap – This item is used to clean fungus or increase your hygiene level when it gets too low.
- Duct Tape – In addition to trading, duct tape can be used to upgrade weapons, fix leaks, and repair pipes.
- Rat Trap – These can be used to prevent mutated rats from getting through any of the vents and attacking your group.
- Bug Spray – Somewhat similar to the rat trap, it is mainly used to clear any spiders from the vents, essentially avoiding a potential fight.
Rare Items
- Medkit – This first aid kit can fully heal any player it is used on.
- Battery – Batteries can be used to skip the minigame when recharging the generator, though this is not an ideal use for it as they can also be traded for more valuable resources.
- Toolbox – Apart from trading, it can be used to repair broken boards during the zombie event.
Special Items
- Backpack – The backpack doubles your inventory slots from four to eight, making it one of the most important items as it allows you to carry more during expeditions.
- Blueprint – This allows you to upgrade weapons, though keep in mind that the process will also require other resources, such as a toolbox or duct tape.
- Flashlight – Used in expeditions, flashlights give you better visibility as the areas you go to tend to be very dark.
- Map – The map lets you choose which location to go to when going on an expedition. Currently, this item is not very useful as you can only go to the grocery store anyway.
- Gas Mask – These are essential for expeditions as they prevent you from taking passive damage due to the air while out on an expedition.
And that’s pretty much all you need to know about the items in Radiant Residents. Take note that some of these items may have other uses during certain events, so you may want to grab as many as you can even if you think you won’t need them anytime soon!
