Ravenswatch is a roguelike game that is similar to Diablo.
This game contains popular characters that you may have heard of before, Little Red Riding Hood, Beowulf, The Pied Piper, and The Snow Queen. These characters are from old stories that you have probably seen because Hollywood likes to make movies about them (i.e. Beowulf, Red Riding Hood).
Now they have made their way into gaming media with Ravenswatch.
In this beginner’s guide, you will learn how to play the game so well, you won’t even want to drop the game because of how well you are doing.
Complete Beginner’s Guide – Ravenswatch
When you start the game, you will have the option to select four different characters.
These characters all have different skills and perks that make playing each of them a different experience:
#1 Scarlet
Scarlet is essentially what would happen if Little Red Riding Hood got bitten by the wolf.
At night, she will transform into a werewolf that features new abilities that you cannot use if Scarlet is in her human form.
When the sun starts rising, Scarlet will revert back to her human form once again.
#2 The Pied Piper
The Pied Piper can summon rats at regular intervals and then follow him as he goes around.
Bear in mind that you can only have up to 20 rats, so when you start to attack an enemy, all of the rats will attack the enemy up to 3 times and do 5 damage. They soon die afterward.
But don’t worry, as you will have more rats again by the time they are finished attacking.
#3 Beowulf
Beowulf is a Viking legend.
He doesn’t offer much besides his large arms that swing a gigantic sword.
Oh, and he can call Wyrm to empower Beowulf’s Power, Special, or Defense in a fight.
#4 The Snow Queen
The Snow Queen has different abilities during the day and night that affects her Frost, which is created when she moves around.
She essentially leaves a trail of Frost that can do different kinds of damage depending on the cycle.
If it is the day, Frost will deal 30 damage. If it is night, the Frost will last for 6 more seconds.
Each hero has their own skills and unique perks that affect the way they play during the day and night. There is no wrong answer here, just choose who you feel comfortable playing as.
There are other characters that you can unlock when playing the game, but they are not available to select when you first start. So they don’t count as part of the “beginner’s” guide.
When you start the game, you will have to fight lots of monsters. These monsters will grant you experience. The experience you get from these monsters will let you level up and get new upgrades for your chosen hero.
Your first priority is to level up as much as you can until you unlock your ultimate ability. This will help your character become even stronger in the upcoming battles.
As you go around fighting enemies to level up, be sure to explore the map.
The map contains a lot of good things that you should look out for, like spawn points, Healing Fountains, Teleporters, chests, Green Orbs, Side Quests, Wishing Wells, Vision Towers, Dream Shards, Nightmare Tumors, and optional bosses for extra loot.
Doing some map exploring will net you some experience, upgrades, and resources to help you become even stronger, so it is worth the hassle.
