With the release of 1.0 for Ready Or Not a lot of new people are jumping into the game. The game’s not your standard shooter though and you’ll need to learn a few things first.
From canted sights to moving faster and two types of leaning, there are a lot of mechanics to keep in mind. It can get a bit confusing, so we’ll go through them one by one.
In this guide, we’ll show you how you can sprint in the game, use Free Lean, and finally use your Canted Sights. Now, let’s see how you can do all of these things!
How To Sprint, Free Lean & Canted Sight Guide
Ready Or Not is more of a simulation than an arcade shooter – that means you don’t go running around blasting at things.
It’s more of a Simulation game, so you’ll want to know all of the extra controls that usually come with this genre.
Sprinting
The game doesn’t have a sprint button, but it does have a way to move faster than normal.
You’ll want to go to your Options and then click on the Controls tab. From there, scroll down until you see “Toggle Low-Ready” or “Hold Low-Ready” depending on what you prefer.
This will change your stance to a slightly faster-moving one.
As of now, there’s no actual full sprint in the game like other FPS games. They’ve made it so the game’s pace is slower and more methodical. Hopefully, future mods will fix that!
Free Lean
If you’ve played similar games like this, you might know about learning mechanics. Usually, games let you lean right or left to not expose your entire body to enemy fire when behind cover.
Most games set the keybindings to Q and E and for Ready Or Not – it’s the same.
There is a second form of leaning though and it’s the Free Lean which you can do by holding the ALT key and using the directional WASD keys.
You can use this if you want to lean further than what quick learning gives you.
Canted Sights
If you want to have a clearer view of your targets or if you want to use your laser attachment for aiming, then you’ll want this.
Using the Canted Sights button in Ready Or Not will change you from using the main sights to an off-sight by tilting the gun.
This can be great if you want to use said Laser attachment or if you just want a clearer sight picture.
To use the Canted Sight, you’ll want to go to the Options menu and head to Controls. From there go to the Interaction tab and look for “Toggle Canted Sight.”
You can then set a key bind to it to one you’re comfortable with.
Now don’t be afraid to add a laser sight to your loadout since now you can use it properly!
That’s how you can sprint, free lean, and use Canted Sights in Ready Or Not. Now go out there and try all of these out!
