The Assassin’s Dagger in Remnant 2 is a weapon that requires a lot of rerolling. It’s just one of the many things in Remnant 2 that requires a specific storyline to achieve. And if you’re a perfectionist, this is just one of the many cool melee weapons you cannot miss out. Don’t torture yourself, however, because we know the exact world and storyline that you need to get this.
How to Get Assassin’s Dagger
The Assassin’s Dagger is a weapon that is lodged on the back of the dead king in the Council Chamber. To get this specific item, you want to reroll in Losomn world until you get the Palace Courtyard as the starting point.
From here, find the Jester that you can interact with to get the Magic Quill. Now here’s where you might have to reroll again. Use the Magic Quill on a door that has markings to open a portal leading to a different area. This area can be random and you need to be teleported to the Council Chamber.
If you don’t, then reroll the world.
Talk to the NPC, Savan, who will ask for your help to investigate the perpetrator behind the king’s assassination. Once you accept the quest, go look around the chamber until you find a portal that takes you to the parallel universe of this chamber.
Kill the enemies, and put High Councilor Savan’s Keys back to their respective slots. The positions refer to the ones from the original world and from left to right are teal, red, purple. This will unlock the door that leads to the chamber where the king is seated.
Go towards the left side of the throne and climb up. There, you’ll see a glowing color of purple which is the Assassin’s Seal. You don’t need this for the Assassin’s Dagger, but you can grab it while you’re at it. Then turn around and jump again to reach the top of the throne to pull out the Assassin’s Dagger.
You can’t yet use this as a weapon. It’s currently only a Quest Item. There are two options you can do with this dagger. If you bring it with the Assassin’s Seal to Savan, you’ll get the Ornate Dagger.
For the Assassin’s Dagger, you must find Nimue and there can be several possibilities where she spawns. While in the Council Chamber, remember that you can also switch between day and night by using the lever on the circle platform.
You can definitely find her in the day version of the location, or Beatific Palace, not far from the lift shaft on the top floor. This doesn’t mean she cannot be in the Malefic or night version of the location.
Ask for her crafting skill once you meet her. You can use the Quest Item to craft the melee weapon Assassin’s Dagger. Of course, this means you cannot get the other weapon anymore.
