The Key to Understanding the Skill Tree

While the Skill Tree itself might seem rather intimidating, the key to fully understanding how to make the most out of the Skill Tree is by learning all about Robin of Loxley. In the primary screen showcasing the various skills, the right side shows you, the protagonist. This part of the screen is where you’ll be spending skill points.

  • Max Energy – This is pretty straightforward. This attribute determines Robin’s Max Energy, which is essentially his stamina.

  • Hunger – This is Robin’s hunger meter. You can replenish this by eating.
  • Hunger Tolerance – This attribute determines how long it takes for the bar to go down. The higher the Hunger Tolerance, the longer it takes for Robin to get hungry.
  • Thirst – This is Robin’s thirst meter. You can replenish this by drinking.

The Path of Endurance

  • Max Health Points – This attribute determines Robin’s health bar. The higher it is, the more damage Robin can take before going down.

One of the most important things to remember is that every single thing you choose on the skill tree corresponds to a specific path. Depending on what you choose, it will affect one or more of the attributes shown above.

Naturally, as you level up over time and spread your skill points wherever you like, your Robin Hood will grow accordingly. This is the reason why I wanted to talk about the attributes as soon as possible, as every choice will affect the attributes above.

Which Path Should I Choose?

Keep in mind that each path has its share of pros and cons. After all, one skill point you spend in a certain path means less skill points you can spend on others. Another crucial thing to remember is that you can only upgrade skills adjacent to ones you’ve already chosen.

Choosing SKills in Robin Hood - Sherwood Builders.
Choose those skills wisely!

So, if you keep choosing skills from the Path of Craftsmanship such as Strong Back (which increases minimum carry weight), you’ll receive skills related to improving your crafting in the game. If you were to choose Swordfighter (which increases the damage you deal with swords), you’ll be more capable as a frontline battler.

Much of this has to do with your playstyle. Are you the type of person to prefer using your bow over your sword? Considering Robin Hood constantly used his bow, this is probably a popular choice. I imagine most people would flock to the Path of the Arrow.

On the other hand, if you’re the type of player who prefers crafting and building over the other skill, then feel free to choose the Path of Craftsmanship. Fortunately, the Skill Tree is surprisingly easy to navigate.

My Advice (Final Thoughts)

If you’re looking for advice on how to proceed with regards to your chosen skills, think carefully about how you play. What do you enjoy the most about your time in Sherwood?
