Creating new levels in SCP-3008 can be a fun retreat from the horrors of avoiding and surviving against the monster. You can use the various assets in the game and arrange them in creative ways to make all sorts of structures. For example, you can even build a small restaurant in the game.

Additionally, you can even build a preschool and daycare in the game. In this guide, we will show you detailed steps that will allow you to build this structure. While it may look very complicated at first, following our steps will allow you to build it in no time. With that said, let’s get into it!

How To Build A Preschool & Daycare

The Preschool/Daycare can seem like a complex structure, so we’ll divide it into two parts: the exterior and the interior. Our approach will be different for each part. You’ll find that you have more freedom when designing the interior, once you have the exterior nailed down.

Building the Exterior

Before you begin building, we recommend setting your Snap-to-Grid Range to 0.25. It’ll make your building experience much easier and make everything look like it fits together.

Starting off, you’ll need to look for a large building that you can build around. Once you’ve located one, you will need to create a platform that can take you up as high as you want.

Using upside down sofas is the best way to create an upward platform. Keep using them at an angle until you reach a height that you are happy with.

Once you’ve established the platform and height, it is time to set the base, or flooring, for the preschool/daycare. This step is fairly straightforward, as you can use pallets set horizontally to do this part.

You can use as many pallets as you want, depending on how big you want the daycare to be.

Once that’s taken care of, it is time to set up the outline for the various rooms in the daycare. For this part, we recommend that you get creative. You can make as many rooms as you want, with differing sizes and orientations.

You can use vertical pallets and TV stands to help outline these rooms. Keep in mind that you will need to leave gaps that will serve as entrances and doorways. Additionally, use vertical pallets to set up the outer walls of the entire structure.

Next up, you will want to add some fences towards the outer perimeter, especially near the pathway. Without fences, your daycare will look like a very dangerous place. After all, no parent wants their children to be falling off the preschool!

No daycare is complete without an outside play area. So, we recommend that you dedicate a section of the first floor to an outdoor area. In this case, the outdoor area is right next to the platform that leads upwards.

To make the area look more lively, you can add plants with fruits alongside a TV stand. Additionally, you can also add grass. We’ll also be adding a second floor to the preschool, so make sure that the outdoor area does not clash with it.

To add the second floor, we’ll first need to add a stairway that leads up. Using a TV stand at an angle works really well as stairs that lead up. You can add multiple stairs if you want, but one set of stairs works well enough if you have a small daycare.

You will need to add more flooring with pallets for the second floor, just like you did with the bottom floor. Just make sure that you do not copy the bottom floor too much, otherwise the outside play area will get covered.

Once the flooring for the second floor has been set up, it is time to add the exterior walls. We recommend that you add some windows alongside pallets. You can use coffee tables with the legs facing inwards to create windows that fit really with the entire structure.

Once you’re done with the second floor, you’ll also need to put up a ceiling. You can easily do this by setting up a temporary pallet that leads upwards. Once the ceiling is done, you can return and pick it up.

You can have a small section of the top floor protruding out towards the playground, so you can use it to add many more decorations that will look natural. Besides that, the architecture will also make your daycare look much more iconic.

With that exterior taken care of, you now have a basis upon which you can let your creativity truly shine. Now, it’s time to modify the inside and breathe new life into it!

Building the Interior

You can add any kind of decorations you want to the interior. We’ll be going through some great ideas that you’ll want to integrate, or take inspiration from.

Starting off, you will want to add some playground items that kids can enjoy. Adding the slide is pretty straightforward because it exists as an asset. However, the swing is a lot more complicated and you’ll need to get creative.

First, you should add two stand lights upside down, in a way that the lamps overlap. Have some sort of foundation at the top, which is why having an overlapping room from the top floor can be a good idea.

After that, add two seats in the middle that cover the lamp up. Doing so will allow you to create a makeshift swing. You can add as many swings as you want in this way, provided you have the space.

After that, we suggest that you add toys all around the preschool. This includes adding them in the playground and inside the various rooms that you have added.

Make sure that you add lighting all around the preschool so that it does not look dark. Make sure you give special attention to the outside playground area so that it always looks lit up.

Something you may want to add is a TV area. You can make a TV by first forming a stand using two stand lights (just like you did with the swing). After that, add a board and some letters to make it seem like a TV screen.

In front of the TV, you can add colorful chairs, mats, toys etc. to make it look like a lived-in place.

You can also create painting canvases where children can paint or draw on. Place mirrors in front of a stand light to create a canvas. After that, you can add a board or painting horizontally at the bottom, to make it look like a holder.

Last, but not least, you can add some cots where small children can sleep. You can create them by having two sofas face each other and overlap with each other. Add some lighting or decorations to the side, although this is completely optional.

After that, you can put a plushy inside that looks like a little child. Of course, you can add all sorts of other stuff like shelves, paintings, kitchen, etc. that will all bring your preschool to life. Once that’s taken care of, you have your very own daycare constructed!

That’s everything you need to know about building a preschool and daycare in SCP-3008. As you can see, there is so much you can do with the assets in the game, by simply changing the angle a little bit. You can also make the whole construction process much more manageable by simply making the tasks much more manageable. Good luck with your building!
