Aizen V2, also known as Aizen Hollow, is one of the most powerful swords available in Rock Fruit right now, which is on par with Anos. With a reworked moveset, massive buffs, and a transformation that grants complete health regeneration, he’s easily one of the flashiest and most broken characters in the game. But unlocking him isn’t easy. My guide will walk you through everything you need to know, including how to get Aizen V1, the materials needed to craft the Hogyoku, and a full showcase of his abilities.

Aizen V2 Guide & Showcase

To begin the Aizen V2 progression, you’ll need to travel to Event Island in Sea 2, where the Aizen V2 NPC is located. You can find him on top of a rainbow-colored house. However, interacting with him requires three specific items:

  • Aizen V1
  • Soul Reaper
  • Hogyoku

If you haven’t unlocked Aizen V1 yet, start there before continuing.

How To Get Aizen V1

Aizen V1 is also obtained from Event Island (Sea 2). But he’s located on the opposite side, on the stone hills. You’ll need the following items: Blindfold and Hollow Orb.

  • To get the Blindfold, you’ll need to farm event mobs on Event Island. They’re not too tough, but it might take a few runs to get enough drops. I recommend teaming up with friends or farming during busy hours when spawn rates feel a bit more generous.
  • Getting the Hollow Orb Ingredients: Head over to Boss Island and use an Orb Demon to summon the Vastolorde Boss. Fair warning: this boss hits like a truck and has a solid health pool. Make sure you’re geared up and bring a solid damage dealer or support if you’re not confident soloing.
    • These two are needed to progress toward crafting the Hollow Orb. Drop rates can vary, so it may take a few fights.
      • Orb Soul
      • Orb Dungeon
  • Find the Orb Evolution: The Orb Evolution is a chest drop, so this step is a bit of a loot lottery. You’ll need to explore the map and keep opening chests until you score one. It’s rare, so don’t get discouraged if it takes a while. Focus on areas with high chest spawns and server hop if needed to speed up the grind.
  • Crafting the Hollow Orb: Once you’ve got the Orb Soul and Orb Evolution, head to Sea 1 and locate the Crafting Table. Here’s where it gets a bit painful, the crafting success rate for the Hollow Orb is only 10%. That means you’ll probably need to farm extra materials and try multiple times before you succeed.

Not the worst grind in the game, but yeah, it takes some patience. If you’re farming regularly, you’ll knock it out in no time.

Crafting the Hogyoku

Now for the real work, crafting the stuff you need to unlock Aizen V2, the Hogyoku. First, go to Soul Society Island. You’ll need to farm the Orb Reaper, which drops at around a 10% rate. It might take a few tries, but it’s not too bad if you know what you’re doing.

Once you’ve got the Orb Reaper, you can craft the Soul Reaper with:

  • 1x Orb Reaper
  • 1x Orb Evolution

Simple enough if you’ve been keeping up with your materials. But keep in mind that the crafting success rate for the Hollow Orb is only 5%, but guaranteed in 10 crafts in the NPC.

Here’s where the grind really kicks in. To craft the Hogyoku, you’ll need:

  • 1x Orb Evolution
  • 1x Orb Hollow
  • 1x Soul Reaper

And the crafting success rate for the Hollow Orb is only 1%, but guaranteed in 20 crafts in the NPC.

Aizen V2 Moveset & Transformation

Now that you’ve got Aizen V2, let’s talk about what makes him so special.

Base Form Moveset

Aizen V2 has five unique abilities, and the standout is hands down his V-skill, Hado 90. It’s flashy, it hits hard, and honestly, it just looks great in combat. But the real fun starts when you hit that transformation button.

Transformation Mode

Once Aizen transforms:

  • The transformation cutscene alone deals AoE damage to nearby enemies.
  • His entire moveset gets overhauled.
  • Damage, range, and overall impact all get a massive buff.

His Z-move becomes a giant beam attack that not only looks amazing, but can wipe out targets from across the map. During transformation, Aizen also gets 100% health regeneration. Yeah, that’s right, he basically becomes unkillable while transformed. It’s one of the strongest temporary buffs in the game and makes him nearly impossible to bring down in PvE or PvP for a short time.

Also, when you finally unlock Aizen V2, you also get a special in-game title. It’s a nice little bonus to show off your grind and flex on others.

Aizen V2 vs Anos – Who’s Stronger?

Let’s address the big question: Is Aizen V2 better than Anos? Right now, I’d say Anos still takes the crown, mostly because of his overall broken kit and how much utility he brings to fights. That said, Aizen V2 is still an absolute monster, especially with that transformation. He’s definitely up there with the top-tier swords.

One thing to note, there seems to be a bug right now where Aizen V2 doesn’t deal full damage to world bosses. Kind of weird, especially considering how strong his kit is. Hopefully it gets patched soon, because his range and damage output are still top-tier otherwise.
