Shrines in Rogueblox are powerful statues hidden all across the world, and each one grants you a unique buff (or curse, depending on how you use it). From raw damage boosts to faster alignment gain, each shrine can totally change how your build plays out. The catch? You can only choose one, and some of them come with serious trade-offs. In this guide, I’ll show you all 8 shrine locations, how to reach them step-by-step, what they actually do, and give you a few tips on which are worth visiting. Whether you’re going freshie, prepping for Ultra, or just exploring, this guide has you covered.
All Shrines Location (Doom, Ferocity, Tribulation & More)
Shrines are usually located in remote or dangerous areas, often requiring climbing, gliding, or fighting off hostile mobs. Most can be visited early with a bit of parkour and mana climbing (or a lucky horseshoe if you’re feeling risky).

But before you go shrine-hopping, keep these important mechanics in mind:
- You can only bind to one shrine at a time.
- Removing or resetting your shrine taints your soul, preventing you from binding to another until it’s cleansed.
- If you wipe using the Last Wind (Prince’s Favour), your soul is also considered tainted.
- To cleanse a tainted soul, visit Roplek in the Tundra and pay 1,000 Silver.
- Some subraces conflict with shrine effects, so you may need to pick one or the other depending on your build.
I’ve included a full step-by-step section on how to cleanse shrine taint below, just in case you need to switch shrines later.
Let’s dive into each location! Below is a quick summary table of all 8 shrine effects and where to find them. For detailed walkthroughs (with video clips and parkour paths), check the sections that follow.

Shrine of Dexterity
Location: Climb up from Ritherhelm (starter town), take the zipline near the Mage trainer.
Buff: +15 Movement Speed
Debuff: -6% Outgoing Damage
This shrine is great for mobility-focused classes or anyone who needs to outrun mobs. It’s also super easy to reach early on.
Shrine of Life
Location: Near town above the waterfalls. Glider helps, but you can climb.
Buff: -10% Incoming Damage
Debuff: -10% Outgoing Damage
A solid pick for tanky or support builds. The location’s peaceful and easy to reach for fresh spawns.
Shrine of Doom
Location: Desert Pylon (Mawstone) → Cross the bridge → Head right and descend. Watch out for flying ghost mobs.
Buff: +9% Outgoing Damage
Debuff: -2.15 Movement Speed
If you’re going for pure DPS and don’t mind being a bit slower, this shrine is a strong option.
Shrine of Ferocity
Location: From the Desert Pylon, go left. Stick to the wall, avoid cactus mobs, head to underground ruins.
Buff: +10% Outgoing Damage
Debuff: +10% Incoming Damage
High risk, high reward. Ideal for glass cannon builds that don’t plan on taking many hits.
Shrine of Tribulation
Location: Badlands area. Go right from the path, climb up, and drop into the pit.
Buff: +20% PvE Damage
Debuff: -10% PvP Damage
Amazing for PvE grinding and boss runs. Just don’t expect to win PvP duels without smart positioning.
Shrine of Salvation
Location: Tundra Gate → Go right, climb the mountain (watch out for the Ice Golem).
Buff: 2x Alignment Gain
Debuff: None (but not very useful late-game)
Useful early-game if you’re rushing Super or Ultra classes. Otherwise, it’s one of the least impactful shrines long-term.
Did You Know? The Shrine of Salvation was one of the first shrines added to the game, and some players used to camp it just to gank alignment grinders. Rude.
Shrine of Frost
Location: From Tundra Gate, go right and drop to the cliff base, then head straight.
Buff: Slower temperature gain/loss (50%)
Debuff: None
Best for survival in extreme biomes like tundra or desert. Not essential, but very useful in long exploration sessions.
Shrine of Purity
Location: From Beach Pylon, climb up and glide into The Hallow, enter the cave.
Buff: +15% Spell Range
Debuff: -25% Charge Speed
Perfect for long-range casters who don’t rely on fast spell charging. Plan your attacks and this shrine pays off.
How to Remove a Shrine (Clear Shrine Effect)
If you’ve already bound to a shrine but want to switch, or you’re getting a “soul is tainted” error, here’s what’s really happening and how to fix it.
Step 1: Wipe Your Character
To remove a shrine effect, you must wipe first. This is done by speaking to the Last Wind NPC in Crimson (Purgatory) and choosing the Prince’s Favour option.
- Cost: 880 Silver
- This will taint your soul, meaning you’ll be unable to bind to another shrine (or use some other systems) until it’s cleansed.
IMPORTANT: Tainted souls cannot interact with shrines or gain new effects.
Step 2: Cleanse Your Soul at Roplek
Once you’re tainted, make your way to Roplek in the Tundra. He handles soul cleansing, F2P RRS (Reset Race/Skills), and artifact removal.
To cleanse your soul:
- Cost: 1,000 Silver
After cleansing, you’ll be free to bind to a new shrine. Just remember, if you remove another one, you’ll need to repeat this process again.
Wrap-Up: Which Shrine Should You Pick?
And that’s every shrine location currently in Rogueblox. Whether you’re a freshie or already on your way to Ultra, shrines give you a major edge, if you pick the right one. Remember, once you taint your soul by removing a shrine, you’ll be locked out unless you go visit the NPC in Tundra Purgatory to cleanse it.
Not all shrines are equal, and your pick should match your playstyle:
- Best for Freshies: Shrine of Dexterity (easy escape + early traversal)
- Best for PvE Grinding: Tribulation (20% bonus damage on mobs = faster boss clears)
- Best for Pure DPS: Doom or Ferocity (depends on whether you can survive the extra incoming damage)
- Best for Tanks/Support: Shrine of Life (survivability boost, pairs well with healing spells)
- Best for Alignment Builds: Salvation (get Super or Ultra faster)
- Best for Spellcasters: Purity (long-range dominance if you don’t rely on quick charging)
- Best for Exploration: Frost (Tundra/Desert survival aid)
Pick wisely, explore carefully, and maybe bring a friend in case a golem spawns at the worst time. Up next, if you’re still not sure where to find all the Super Class trainers, check out my full guide on every Super Class Trainer location in Rogueblox.
