The shield is a great defensive weapon that Kratos uses. Even during his time when training to become a Spartan warrior, Kratos was used to the weight and feel of having a shield, as well as using it as a weapon when necessary. Though Spartans commonly use a shield with a spear, Kratos learns how to use any weapon with any shield, thus making his combat with an axe and the Blades of Chaos that much more dangerous. The Rond of Restoration shield can be found in The Abandoned Village in Vanaheim. You will be able to get there as you progress through the story.
Open the Legendary Chest
The Rond of Restoration can be found in a Legendary Chest, just inside one of the huts in The Abandoned Village.
